Why Most People Give Up On Their Dreams And How To Overcome It

Do you know what is the number one reason people give up on their dreams or their goals? Too often, people tend to be motivated about their dreams whenever the idea first come into their mind. They feel excited and they feel like they can take on the whole world to make their dreams come true.

Unfortunately, the energy does not last forever. One of the most common reasons why this is happening to most people is that they treat success or achieving their dreams as something like a sprint.

Which in fact, achieving your dreams or being successful is all about marathon. It is not a sprint. Whenever you come up with some great ideas, you’ll feel great about it and you will tend to take a ton of actions. However, this is not the right way of doing it.

Success is a process. Just like if your dream is to become a millionaire, it is not likely that you will achieve this dream within 24 hours. Not in the first week. Mostly not in the first month. And usually not in the first year.

It is not to say that it is not possible to make a million dollar in 24 hours, in fact, I’ve heard of people doing it and I know it is possible to do it.

What I’m suggesting you is that when you’re just starting out, you have to consider about the resources available to you.

You’ll accumulate all the resources you need on the way to achieving your dreams. The key in this post that I want to tell you is this…

Don’t Let Yourself Burnout

Yes, if you’re doing something too quickly and in a rush, usually you’ll end up burnout and getting no results. Even Thomas Edison, the one who has the greatest persistent, did not try to invent everything in the first year. It took him a lot of effort and time to accomplish all his great inventions.

Think about it, if you go to work today and your boss keep on telling you, “Okay everybody, this is it! I want you to work faster today than you can ever work. I want you all to run, run and run. No jogging or walking. The name of the game is speed and you must get all of this tasks done in today.”

If your boss is telling you this everyday, guess what will happen to you? Burnout!

You’ll get exhausted and you’ll give up in the end.

This is not the way to realize your dreams or your goals. It is true that you need persistent and determination, but not to the extent until you cannot take it.

Always remember this, success is a process, it is a journey and not a destination. If you’re going to achieve your dreams and your goals, you’ll have to be patient with them.

You need to come up with a plan on how to achieve it. You need to prepare yourself and equip yourself with all the resources you need to be successful. You will then have to take manageable steps each and everyday and move closer toward your destiny. This is what I called persistence!

Therefore, if you’ve given up your dreams or your goals, think about it again. Why did you give up?

Why you are not staying long enough in the course? Are you taking too much action and create no results? If it is so, you’ll have to refine a new plan for it.

I hope you get what I mean here. I’ll end this post with this powerful quote, “slow and steady wins the race!”

I love the end phrase! Indeed slow and steady will eventually reach to the peak of success! Definitely!

Hello Yahya. Yea, there’s no need to rush to be successful. Rome was not built in a day, and it is the same if you want to be successful. Take your time to learn and apply what you have learned.
