Most people will get motivated in pursuing their dreams in the beginning. However, after some time, they will lose the motivation and soon forget about their dreams.

This is simply because they did not condition their action to become a habit.

Once you have conditioned your action to become a habit, you’ll do it automatically. And the simplest way to condition an action to become a habit is by doing it continuously for at least 21 days.

For example, if you want to practice the habit of brushing your teeth before you sleep, simply do it continuously for the next 21 days and it will be conditioned into your mind as a habit.

1. The Habit Of Constant Learning

Successful people are willing to learn. They read a lot of books and they know that if they want to improve their skill or their knowledge in their field, they have to adopt the habit of constant and never end improvement.

It is the same for you. If you want to be the best in your industry, you must adopt this habit. Spend at least 30 minutes everyday into learning something that is related to your field. You can read related books and articles to improve yourself.

After a year, you’ll discover the great change that this habit will bring you.

2. The Habit Of Taking Action

Learning is only a potential power. What gives you the real power and real change is the ability to act. Therefore, you must do something each day. And you definitely want to turn this into a habit so that you’ll take action everyday automatically.

Success is all about taking action. If you’re not doing anything about your goals and your dreams, you’ll never going to achieve them.

Thus, practice the habit of taking action that will lead you to where you want to end up everyday. Don’t just take action for the first few days, be committed and take consistent action every single day and you’ll produce amazing results in your life.

3. The Habit Of Putting 100% Commitment

Successful people are committed people who will do exactly as promised. If they promised themselves that they are going to read the financial report of a company by the end of tonight, they’ll do it no matter how late it gets!

Your habits are going to determine everything you do and every decision that you make today. Why are you reading this right now? It is because you have the habit of wanting to learn more, to improve yourself, you want to be successful in your life as well.

1. Highly Successful People Are Doer

Every highly successful people are doer, they take action more than they talk. As you know, success will not come automatically, you have to do something to make it come true. This is why successful people are successful, because they take action that leads to their success. Many people caught up in their comfort zone and they are not willing to take action. They rather watch television the moment they have to read through market analysis.

So the first thing you have to do in order to be successful, is learn to be a doer. Take more action than everything else. Another thing about successful people is that they take every action that can lead them to their success. No matter how big or how small the action, they will take it. This is simply because successful people know that it is the small action that will bring them the huge success.

Have you ever heard of the butterfly effect? It means that small steps can actually bring you large impact. In fact, taking small action steps everyday is one of the most powerful actions that you should do if you want to be successful. There is a saying from Confucius, “The journey of a thousand leagues begins from a single step“. This saying is very true. So, if you want to be successful today, be the doer, take more action, even if it is a small action.

2. Highly Successful People Deal with Failure Correctly

What I mean here is that successful people are doing the right thing the moment they fail to achieve what they want. If you are a constant reader of my blog, you should know that once you have taken the necessary action, there are only 2 outcomes, the first outcome is that you achieve what you want, and the second outcome is you fail to achieve what you want. For successful people, they deal with failure differently.

Overall, there are only 3 ways to deal with failure. Today, if you fail to achieve your goals, you can:

1. Give up and never to take any action anymore,
2. Try harder again, by doing the same thing, or
3. Change the strategies and go all out again.

These are the only 3 ways to deal with failure. As for successful people, they are using the third way to deal with failure. The moment they fail to achieve what they want, they will tell themselves that it is because they are not using the right strategies. What they do is that they review their strategies, they change their strategies and they go all out once again.

By doing, you are constantly positioning yourself to the right path of success. Einstein once defined crazy as “Doing the same thing over and over again but wish for different results”. You know it very well that if you are doing the same thing, you are going to get back the same old results.

Hence, learn to change your strategies when you fail to achieve what you want in your life. No one has the perfect strategies to succeed, it is the constant and never-ending improvement that will bring you the success you want.

It is not that people are planning to fail, it is because they fail to plan. How many of your friends are actually planning on what they should do everyday, what they should achieve every month and do they know what they want in their life? I bet, very few of your friends actually know what exactly they want in their life. If you don’t have any goals today, please set at least one before you sleep tonight.

Without a goal, you are just like a sheep that lost in nowhere. You are going to follow the big crowd, you will go wherever the crowd is going. That means, you are going to end up in other people’s plan. Therefore, you must be clear of what you want and you must have clear goals.

A lot of people want to be successful, but only a small portion of them actually achieve it. Why is this so? This is because most people are not 100% committed to achieve what they want. Everyone wants to be successful, but only a few of them will ever achieve it, because for most people, to achieve what they want is not a MUST, it is just a WISH.

This is what separates highly successful people with ordinary people. Successful people put in 100% commitment in achieving their goals, they will do whatever it takes and they make it a MUST. Conversely, most people fail because they are not committed in their goals. They just dream about achieving great success, they think about it but they never take any action to make their dreams come true.

Do you have friends that told you he wants to be successful, but after a few minutes, he just forgot what he had told you and he went to watch television instead of reading wealth books? A lot of people tend to blame everyone and everything when they fail to achieve something in their life. For example, many people blame the economy the moment they fail in their business. They said that it is because the rising price of fuel that causes them to fail, they said it is because of their stupid customers and so on. The moment you blame other factors, you are losing the power to control the situation. What I mean here is that when you give excuses, you will never improve.

Think about it, when you say that it is because of your lousy teacher that causes you to fail in your test, will you ever improve? Not likely. However, if you take the responsibility by saying that it is because you are not hard working enough and you are using the wrong strategies, will you start to take more and better action? Of course you will, because you are telling yourself it is you that causes the outcome.

By thinking it this way, you will gain the power to control the situation and to improve. So always remember, you are the one that responsible for you own success. If it is other people that are responsible for your success, then you will never be successful!
