Staying motivated is one of the most crucial factors to success.

Without the motivation, you’ll never take the necessary action to make your dreams come true. Most people procrastinate and give up simply because they don’t have the motivation to do it.

Successful people are motivated people. They’re motivated toward their goals and their dreams. They’re willing to do the necessary task and take the right action to produce the results they want in their life.

Are you motivated?

If you are not, chances are, you’ll procrastinate and give up whenever you face any obstacles in your journey. Or you may put things off whenever you face with distractions.

So in this post, I’m going to share with you the 5 ways how to stay motivated all the time. As long as you follow through the techniques below, you’ll be able to feel motivated from the inside and get things done.

Once you’re motivated, you’ll feel like you can get things done, you’ll be able to achieve all your goals, you’ll feel like you can take on the whole world and you’ll have the confidence to be successful…

1. Review Your Dream, Goals And Your Purpose

The first and the easiest way to get you motivated is by reviewing your dreams, goals and your purpose to achieving them.

It is just like if you want to be rich for your family and whenever you see the picture of your family hanging on the wall, you’ll feel committed to take action.

This is why reviewing your dreams and your goals will motivate you. Especially your purpose. Why do you want to achieve what you want in your life?

If your goal is to be a millionaire, why do you want to achieve it? The reason is what propels people into a motivated state. In other words, if your reason is not strong enough, you’ll never produce the motivation that will keep you going.

Some people are so motivated to take action because they have a strong reason to achieve their goals. It is a MUST achieve for them and not merely a wish.

2. Changing Your Focus

When you’re not feeling motivated, it is because you’re not focusing on something that will motivate you.

For example, when you’re feeling down, it is because you’re thinking about sad things in your mind. You are focusing on the wrong thoughts. Can you tell me what you think about most of the time when you’re happy?

The answer is you’re thinking about happy events in your life whenever you’re feeling happy!

This is what I mean by changing your focus. You have to focus your thought on something that will motivate in your life. Such as a luxury car, a million dollar, a fat bank account, a happy family, a lovely wife and so on and so forth.

If you want to be rich because you’re from a poor family or because you’re deeply in dept, then focus on your family and your will to be rich because you’re in dept.

This will help you to think about why you want to be rich and give you the energy to go on from within.

3. Listen To Songs And Music That Will Motivate You

This is one of the strategies that I’ll do when I don’t have the motivation. Listen to a certain song that will get me going really help me a lot in this.

I believe that there must be a certain song or music or even movie that will make you feel motivated when you listen to it.

It is the trigger that will motivate you, so make good use of this.

You’ll feel motivated when listening to a certain song is because in the past, you listen to that song when you’re in a motivated state. This create a strong chain in your mind that whenever you listen to the song, you’ll automatically trigger the motivated state you’re in. Great technique!

4. Spend 30 Minutes To Read Self-improvement Books

Again, this is an easy step, but most people will never do it. Whenever you feel like procrastinating and don’t feel like want to get things done, spend 30 minutes to read some self-improvement books that will make you motivated again.

It does not matter which book you read, as long as it can get you motivated. You can even read articles in my blog if you feel that what I’m sharing with you is going to motivate you.

I have a lot of self-improvement books. I’ll buy at least a book each month. Right now, when I’m typing this post, there are a few in front of me on my desk. They are Live The Life You Love by Barbara Sher, Having It All by John Assaraf, Tough Times Never Last But Tough People Do by Robert Schuller, Awaken The Gian Within by Anthony Robbins, The Power Of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale and more…

You see, I read a lot of them and I reread them whenever possible. As long as the material can motivates you, you should invest time to digest it.

5. Rest, Relax And Enjoy

Sometimes, when you’re feeling overload, you can try to rest and relax to gain back the energy of motivation.

Try to have a walk in the garden, get close to the nature, do some exercises, go for sport, jogging, swimming or go shopping.

This technique is great when you’re feeling stress and overload. You will want to distract yourself and relax your mind so that when you get back on your task later, you can stay even more focused on it.

Don’t feel guilty by taking time to relax yourself. In fact, some of the experts claim that the more you relax and rest yourself, the more productive you’ll become.

Just make sure that you take action and do what you need to do. Rest and relax is not a way for you to procrastinate, but it is a technique for you to get motivated.

Whenever I visit bookstore and scan through all the books in business, self-help, marketing, finance and success-related category, I’ll feel motivated. I can feel a surge of energy flow through me. There are so many books that I would like to buy and read.

I don’t know about you. I’m just telling you that you should find out what will motivate you in your life and leverage on it to make you motivated.

What drives you? What gives you the energy to keep moving on?

Do you know why sometimes you’re motivated to do something while sometimes you just want to put things off?

What you have to do is to notice your states, the thought you run through your mind, your breathing pattern and your physiology when you’re in a motivated state.

Once you noticed all these factors, you will come to better understand what drives you. And if you know what drives you, you can then repeat the same process and keep yourself motivated all the time whenever you want to.

Conversely, you can take note about the factors when you’re in a lousy state. What thoughts you’re running through your head when you’re feeling unmotivated? For most people, when they’re in a lousy state and when they’re trying to put things off, they will focus on the pleasure of not doing the things and the pain of doing it.

Let me give you an example, when you’re feeling motivated, most probably you’ll be thinking about being successful in your life. You’ll think about driving the car you have always dreamed about. You’ll be thinking about having all the money that you desire and traveling around the world with your loved ones.

Your breathing will be deep and your physiology is in a certain position. This means that you are focusing on the pleasure of achieving your dreams. You’re thinking about what you want to accomplish in your life.

Therefore, if you know that you have to focus in these thoughts to be in a motivated state, do you think that you can control your thought and make yourself motivated when needed?

Of course you can! You just have to think the exact picture in your head, breathe the same way you’re breathing when you’re feeling excited and make sure your eyes, your facial expression and your physiology is in the exact position like when you’re feeling motivated. Then you will feel motivated.

It is something like copy and paste. You do exactly the same thing, and you will get the same results.

One plus one will always be two. So if you do the same thing just like when you’re feeling exciting and passionate, you will get back the same results.

In other words, you can choose to feel and be in the states that you want. Anthony Robbins says, emotion is created by motion. And I think it is very true.

When you’re feeling bored and sleepy, try to move faster and you will feel energetic. It is your motion that created your emotion.

I believe you’ve learned something useful today. You don’t have to use coffee or candy to stay awake. Instead, you can use your motion to produce the kind of energy you want.

Make good use of what you’ve learned here today. Try it and you will get the results you want.

You need energy to get things done. Yet, most people live their lives without much energy.

Successful people are those who radiate energy from them. You can know it from the way they walk, the way they talk, the way they think and act and make decisions. You can always feel the energy from them.

They’re passionate and full with energy!

This is the secret that you need to get your work done in effectively and efficiently.

Here are 7 ways how you can keep yourself energetic all the time…

1. Always Read Motivational Materials

This is one of the simplest ways. If you want to stay positive and energetic, read motivational books or listen to inspiring audios. This is a very common motivational technique, but yet, most people never apply it into their lives.

If you can do this for 30 minutes everyday, you will go through big changes in your life in a few months. If you don’t believe me, just try it. You’ll see the amazing changes you’re going to get in your life.

2. Think About Your Dreams

Yes, thinking about your dreams will get you motivated. If you want to be rich, driving a BMW 5 Series, just imagine that you’ve already achieved this goal in your mind. Visualize the vivid picture. Imagine the color, the smell, the touch of the steering and more.

You’ll feel great if you do this right. Do this every time when you feel no motivation or when you’re in a low energy state. The more you do this, the better you’re going to get in visualizing it. Great technique, try it!

3. Identify Your Motivation Starter

When you feel motivated, try to ask yourself this question, “what makes me motivated?”

You have to identify the things that make you move into the high energy state. It can be a thought, a song, an image of a happy family, a voice in your head and more. Once you knew what makes you motivated, you can then repeat the process and stay motivated all the time!

Again, the more you practice, the better you’re going to get.

4. Take Rest And Relax Your Mind

Think about it, when you’re overloaded with works and stress for a long time in the office, what should you do to refresh yourself?

The best way is to take rest and relax your mind. Take a walk in garden, slow down your pace and notice all the great and beautiful things around you, listen to soft music or songs that inspired you.

After you’ve refreshed your mind, you will find that you have all the energy to take on the world again. Sometimes it is a wise way to take a break to relax when you’re feeling stress. It will help you to stay focused and be more effective after you get back to your work.

5. Stay Healthy All The Time

The secret to live in a high energy state all the time is to be healthy! Many people sacrifice their health for their financial future. If you let me choose, I’m going to choose both.

You can say that I’m greedy, but I want both. What is the point of having all the money in the world but you cannot enjoy it and suffer serious illness?

Make sure you take exercise often and eat healthily.

6. Have Faith And Enjoy Your Life

Yes, simply have the faith and enjoy every moment you have in your life will make you a happy-go-lucky person. This is one of the easiest ways to stay motivated and energetic all the time. Most people keep themselves busy and lose the faith to live a happy life.

Sometimes, living a simple life will be the best option. You don’t need to have all the money in the world to be successful. Appreciate what you have at every moment will give you a sense of succeed and live your life with passion.
