The #4 Ingredient For Success

April 16th, 2008

Welcome back. So now you have gone through all the 3 ingredients for success. The first ingredient is the belief system which you must have. After you have the belief system, you need to have a clear and specific goal. Next, the 3rd ingredient is the strategy you need to achieve your goal. And now, once you have all of those ingredients, what you need to do next? Take action, a lot of action.

Everything you plan out and the strategy you craft out will be a waste if you did not actually take any actions to make them come true. This is where most people fail, they lack of action. The one who takes the most actions will be the one that creates the more results. Remember this, no matter what kind of result you are getting, there are only two results.

Action Cycle

The first outcome you get after taking massive actions is this, what we called success. This is what everyone wanted. After taking the necessary steps, we will achieve what we want. However, this is not always the case. It may be different from what you are planning.

Don’t Be Crazy

The second type of outcome is this, failure. For me, it is not failure, it is feedback. Everyone fails before, in fact, successful people fail even more. But, don’t take failure as failure, instead, treat it as feedback. It is the feedback after you plan your strategy and you take action. You get feedback because the strategy you are using is not good enough. So if you ever get any feedback, it is time to change your strategy and go for it again.

For some people, they just don’t understand how things work. Once they get the feedback, they thought that it is because they did not take enough actions. So what they do next is that they keep on doing the same thing over and over again. However, did they get the result they want? No, why? Simply because they are doing the same thing, they use the same strategy. And if you keep on doing the same thing, will you expect different results?

That is impossible, you do the same thing again, you will get back the same result, feedback. That is why once you get feedback, you have to change your strategy and try again. Don’t keep on doing the same thing, doing the same thing will not bring you any changes. Einstein define crazy as doing the same thing and wish for different results. So don’t be crazy if you want to achieve great success in your life.

It Is Action That Brings You Massive Success

I hope that you are clear with this one thing, it is action that is responsible for your success. Nothing can beat action. If you ask me what is the only key that will bring you to success, I will say it is this, action. You can have all the belief system you want, you can have the greatest goal, however, if you do not take any action, it is impossible you will achieve your goal. Action is all you need.

Belief and goal are the vehicle to reach your destination, and action will be the fuel to power up that powerful vehicle. So start taking action from now on. Once you craft out how your life is going to be, the only thing left to do is this, take massive action. Do not procrastinate and do not give up. Keep it going and you will see that you are moving toward your goal nearer and nearer everyday.

The #3 Ingredient For Success

April 15th, 2008

Finally, we have reached the number three ingredient for success. You can always refer to the first ingredient for success here, and the number two here. Go through them if you haven’t read them yet, this will make you clear of what is happening. To be successful, we have to follow a certain path, and that path is what we called The Ultimate Success Formula.

By just applying this formula into your life, you can achieve anything you want. Wealth, health, anything. This formula works, and that is why so many people are using this formula, Adam Khoo is one of my favorite ‘success’ guru and he is the living proof. He used this formula, and he achieved amazing results in life. He is one of the youngest self-made millionaires in Singapore, he made his first million at the age of 26. If he can do this, so can both you and I.

So what is the #3 ingredient for success? Do you still remember the first and the second ingredient? The first ingredient is that you must believe in your dreams, that your dreams will come true. The second ingredient is goal setting. You need to set a goal which has these 3 criteria, specific, achievable and with a deadline. Now, let us continue into the third ingredient for success. The third ingredient is, the strategy.

The Strategy That You Need To Achieve Your Goals

Once your belief system is right, and after you have set your clear goal, it is now time to plan out the strategy that you need to achieve that goal of yours. Many people did not actually plan out their life, and that is why they fail. I don’t want you to be the same with them, I want you to be different. Simply because you spend your precious time reading this post in my blog right now. And I feel that I have the responsibility to bring you the best.

Success Strategy

After you have set a clear goal, I believe that your mind will automatically generate a strategy on how you can achieve it. If you ask someone what are their dreams and goals, and if they say they want to be rich, ask them how they are going to achieve it, 9 out of 10 will tell you that they are not sure. They don’t even know how to make themselves rich, and they come up with all sorts of excuses like they don’t have the time, they don’t have the money to start making more money. All of these are lousy excuses and I hope that you don’t use these excuses.

How Do You Find The Strategies?

Here’s the thing, whatever you want to achieve in life, there are people out there who have already achieved what you want. And you will find all successful people have one thing in common. They don’t reinvent the wheel. They learn from the best and they learn from this concept called modeling. They say,who is the best in what I want to be good in, and they model that strategy.

This is how you can find your strategies. Model the best in your industry. If you are into golfing, then learn from Tiger Woods, model every of his patterns and his moves, breathes just like him, be like him, and you will find yourself be as good as him. The same goes for real-estate, who is your number one real-estate gurus? Is it Donald Trump? Or is it Robert Allen? Do the same thing, apply the same concept, model the one which you think are the best in your niche and you will achieve the same results just like they do.

Remember, don’t reinvent the wheel. Those successful people already crafted out the success blueprint for you, all you need to do is just follow their footsteps. This is the real way to achieve great success. If you do so, you are going to cut short the learning curve and you can achieve the things you want in your life in the shortest time possible. This is because you are not going to go through all the unnecessary paths and you can avoid of the pitfalls in your way to success.

Remember, you have to design your own journey to success. Nobody can do this for you, this is your own life and it is your own future. You have to craft a road map on how to achieve your goals, and the best strategy to be used, is to model those who are already achieved massive success in your industry. Read this post, and you will see how powerful designing your own destiny can be, The Power of Designing Your Destiny.

The #2 Ingredient For Success

April 14th, 2008

This will be the number two ingredient for success. I believe that many people is doing it. It is setting a clear, specific and achievable goal. You must set a goal for yourself, what you want to achieve in 3 months and so on. Without a clear goal, you are not going to reach your destination, why? Simply because you don’t even know where you want to head to.

Goal Setting

I know that I have written quite a number of posts regarding setting clear and specific goals. However, setting goals is the thing that you need to do after you believe in yourself. You can always read The #1 Ingredient For Success if you miss it. The number one ingredient is about building your belief systems, and the number two ingredient for success will be setting a clear goal. Ask yourself now, frankly, did you have a goal? Do you know what you want to achieve in the following 3 months? Do you know what you want to achieve in the next 3 years? Or maybe even 5 years from now?

The Criteria Your Goal Must Have

I know, setting a goal is easy, all you need to do is take out a pen and write it down. Is it really that easy? Not really, it is more than that. Always remember, you goal must have these 3 criteria:

1. Clear and Specific
Yes, your goal must be clear and specific. Without a clear goal, you are not going to achieve it. Let me tell you this, a lot of people, they want to make money, that’s all they know, they want to make money. When you ask them how much money they want to make, they will tell you as much as they can. Now, this is not a clear goal. A clear goal must be very, very specific. It is the same like buying a new car. If you want to buy a BMW, then what model is it going to be? What color did you want? You have to ask all sorts of questions that will make your goal specific.

2. A Goal with Deadline
Your goal must have a deadline. How long do you need to achieve your goal? You have to make it clear that every goal you set must have a deadline, a goal without a deadline is not a goal! Always remember this. Deadline can helps to prevent you from procrastination and it is going to create the sense of fear of not achieving it. Here is a post which tells you how important a deadline can be, read it and I believe that it will be a great help, Your Someday One Day Will Never Comes.

3. It Must Be Achievable
What I mean is this, whenever you set your goals, they must be achievable, don’t set some goals which is not achievable like I’m going to earn a lot of money in 3 years. This is not a goal, it is not achievable. For example, an achievable goal is like “I’m going to promote ABC affiliate products and earn $1,000 in one month”. Now, this goal is achievable. If you say that your goal is to make money, you will never achieve it, because you don’t even know how you are going to achieve it. This is why most people can’t achieve their goals, they don’t have a clear plan and their goals are not achievable.

I believe that now you are clear about the importance of setting goals and how to set your goals. Below is how Steven Spielberg follow his goals and take massive actions and moving towards success.

At the age of 12, Steven Spielberg knew that what he wanted to do was to tell stories to the world by making movies. It was this specific goal that directed him to spend his time making home videos at the age of 12 and exposing himself to movie sets at universal studios at the age of 18. It was these years of focused effort that allowed him to build the level of experience and skill he needed to make some of the best movies around.

Even Honda knows how important goals and dreams can be. That is why you can see that Honda is using this phrase as their marketing quote, “The Power of Dreams”. I have also written up a post about how dreams can be. Read it here, The Power of Dreams.

You can always change your course of strategies and plans during the moment you taking actions. This is exactly how people achieve success.
