Success Tips To Learn From Geese

Yes, you read that right, we should learn from the geese if we want to be successful in our lives.

It is incredible when you look at the nature. There are a lot that you can learn from the nature. Look at the tress, those tress that have gone through rain and sunshine grow stronger each day.

On the other hand, those that you keep in your garden will not grow as strong as those in the forest. It is about survival.

Look at the snail moving slowly on the floor. No matter how slow it is, it still keeps on going toward its direction. Even snail knows something about persistence.

As for now, look at the geese. What do you think you can learn from these birds?

Lesson #1

As each goose flaps its wings it creates an “uplift” for the birds that follow. By flying in a “V” formation, the whole flock adds 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew alone.

What does this tell you? Even the geese know that if they want to achieve much more and fly farther, they will have to depend on each other.

The same goes for you. If you want to achieve your dreams and goals faster and with less effort, you must get associated with the same group of people who have the same dreams.

When you are in the group that you desire, you can motivate each other and discuss about the topic each of you are interested in.

Successful people often network with other successful people. This is simply because they know that they have to associate with the same mind so that they can go farther by leveraging and the help and support from others.

Lesson #2

When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front of it.

Everybody needs help. You cannot succeed alone. Even those who claimed to be a self-made millionaire, they have their own support team.

If you say that you succeed alone without the help from anybody, think about it again. Who gives you clothes, protection and food when you still depend on your parents? Who gives you love and support? Do you have any friends? What about your customers? Your colleagues? Or even your boss? What about the higher power?

Even the geese know to depend on the help from others when they’re feeling tired.

Lesson #3

When the lead goose tires, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies to the point position.

This is teamwork and smart work. You need to leverage on others to succeed in your life. When you’re tired, ask others to do it for you.

Delegation and outsource are two important keys that can help you grow your business bigger. Many people are afraid to delegate their work. These people will never improve. You simply cannot do everything by your own.

If you think you are the only one that is suitable for the job, you will never free up your time and as a result, you will never be able to manage other work properly.

Lesson #4

The geese flying in formation honk to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.

When the geese fly over your head, it is a beautiful scenery but you may never notice that they are honking on the air. Sounds travel upward and thus, it is hard for you to notice their honking.

They encourage each other. When you are traveling in group, you will feel more fun and more encouraging. Even the geese know about this concept.

Lesson #5

When a goose gets sick, wounded, or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to help and protect it. They stay with it until it dies or is able to fly again. Then, they launch out with another formation or catch up with the flock.

Help others to achieve what they want and they will help you in return. If you want to be rich, then create value to help others to make others rich, and in return, they will make you rich.

When you are facing difficult times, hold on to each other and you can overcome any obstacle that is blocking you.

Interesting lessons to be learned from the geese. What do you think about this? Tell me your opinion in the comment section.

    Hi Shawn,

Great posting. It shows that the Almighty created this world with full of lessons to be uncovered.

I like the analogy about the slow moving snail! Yes persistence will get us to our destination however long it will take.

The more we persist the faster we can get to our destination..
