My Vacation In Langkawi

Hi, this is unofficial, but, since this is a blog, I want to make it more personal.

So I have decided to write more about myself and to share with you who I am.

This year, at the first of January, I’ve went to Langkawi island. If you’re new here, I’m a Malaysian. Have you ever been to Malaysia?

It is a great country. And I’ve had my vacation of year 2009 in this island called Langkawi. I went with my friends and loved one. It is a great trip and we all have had great time there.

Below are some of the pictures that I took. If you have interest and are going to visit Malaysia someday, let me know, I can be your tour guide, but there’s no guarantee that I’m available for you by that time, :p

This is the picture taken before we took the speedboat into Langkawi island. I’m not inside the picture, I’m the one who’s taking the picture for them. They’re all my friends and the girl with green pant is my girlfriend.

All are great friends of mine. I really enjoy the great time with them.

Yes, you have to take speedboat into the island, unless you fly from the mainland of Malaysia.

This is me! Taking picture with a deer in Oriental Village while waiting to take cable car to the top of the mountain. (I forgot the name of the mountain though, :P )

We’re at the top of the mountain. The Langkawi cable car is one of the must visit attractions in Langkawi. If you’re coming here but you’re not going to for the cable car, it is going to be a big waste for you.

If you notice properly, you can see amazing view from the top of the mountain. The weather is cool and the wind is strong on the top.

Again, a must visit!

See! I told you it is a must visit! This is the C-curve suspension bridge. It looks scary, but you can see great views from it. They purposely built it this way so that you can have great time there.

This is my friend Alex. What I want to show you is not him, but the view and the suspension bridge (lol, sorry Alex). You’ll feel the bridge is swinging a little when you’re on it.

It is truly an amazing construction and a place to visit – the Langkawi cable car!

This is the next day when we visit the ‘Pregnant Island’. The shape of the island is like a pregnant woman. This is not sea, it is a lake inside the island.

There are tons of foreigners there and the view is beautiful.

Eagle feeding! Can you see that there’s an eagle in the middle of the picture? You’ll have the chance of seeing this if you take the tour package of island hopping.

But personally, I don’t think the package is worth the value.

When we’re there, it is the eagle breeding season, as a result, there are not much eagles to see, too bad.

Do you know what these are? They’re penguins! Very rare, but you can find them inside the Langkawi Underwater World.

Again, the Langkawi Underwater World is a must visit attraction if you ever go to Langkawi. There are a lot of marine life you can see here.

This is a sea lion. If you look at the picture carefully, you can see it is looking up. If you have never see a real sea lion or a penguin before, this is the place for you.

This is inside Galeria Perdana, or the ‘minister’s museum’. There are a lot of stuff to see inside. The entrance fee is cheap and you can walk all day inside there.

The last picture I’m going to share with you in my vacation to Langkawi. This is the Eagle Square. The landmark of Langkawi. That’s me and my girlfriend, sweet right? Haha!

There’s a lesson that I would like to share with you today.

Traveling and having vacation are great to expand your comfort zone. This is because when you’re out of your own house, you’re not doing things the way you use to be doing.

When you’re staying in a hotel, you’ll break your old pattern of taking bath, sleep and more.

You’ll grow, have more confident and are able to expand your comfort zone when you have a lot of vacation.

That’s it for today.
