Knowledge Is Wealth

Knowledge Is Wealth. For me, wealth is just the financial knowledge that you need in order for you to make a fortune. If you would like to read more about the difference between wealth and money, you can read my post about it here, Let’s Talk About Money.

So why did I said that Knowledge Is Wealth? Look at Google, look at Nike, or eBay, they all worth billions of dollars, they make millions of dollars each year, but they hardly owned any physical assets. Try and add up the total value of their factories, all their physical assets, and you will notice that these values worth less than what they’re worth. In fact, Nike doesn’t even own many factories. So what makes these giant companies worth so much? The wealth of these companies lie in the ideas of people who are working inside. There are still many examples of companies out there.

Your mind is a very powerful intellectual asset that you owned, if you make use of your mind wisely, you can make infinity returns of revenue. Not like in the bank which only make you 4% return of investment, or 20% return in stock. If you want to be a Millionaire, you must invest your time and effort into learning more wealth knowledge, you need to spend time to harness your financial skills. So you see, over 90% of your wealth is not from your wallet or in your bank account, its all the ideas in your mind.

If you save and invest money every month, you will become a millionaire at some point. As Einstein put it, compound interest is the “eighth wonder of the world.” It all depends on how much money you currently have, how much interest that money will earn (the tricky part), and how much you can save each month and, of course, how long you can wait. Another critical part of the equation is that you leave the interest earned alone so that it keeps earning interest. There’s one often-cited example of the power of compound interest.

Wealth could be attain two ways: either you are born with because your parents are rich or you attain wealth because you are smart (work) or lucky (lottery) enough to do so.

However, I do agree that if you wish to become wealthy (or wealthier for those already rich people), you must strive hard to attain knowledge. It’s because, knowledge could never be taken from you, money does. So, for some reason you get bankrupt, you’ll re-gain what you’ve lost because of your knowledge.

I agree that knowledge is the key to getting rich and lasting wealth if you can’t inherit it or win it.

A skill set in demand is always going to be valuable, regardless of how much money you lose or if you ever have to start over from a financial collapse.

Learning financial skills is something that is not usually taught at school. So it often falls to your parents or a mentor to provide insight. But certainly knowledge and insight is the key as well as just plain hard work.
One quote I have always liked is ‘The most valuable asset that you have is the sweat of your brow’ – in other words personal effort
