Handling Rejection (Part 2)

Ok, now you’re going to learn about how you can redefine rejection. First, you need to know how this feeling of fear are initiated. When we heard people said ‘NO’ to us, we will automatically attach to some sort of meaning to it. We will straight away think that we’re the cause, maybe we will said something like ‘yes, I know I’m not good enough’, ‘this proves that I’m not a good speaker’. But the actual situation is that the ‘NO’ has got nothing to do with us. It is just a neutral situation to which we attached meaning.

So, how are you going to change this? Actually it is very simple, you can do a simple self-affirmation for the next 30 days. You can keep telling yourself this:
‘I’m good enough. In fact, I’m great enough!’

Yes, this is it. Keep repeat this phrase 30 times every morning and it will instill deeply in your mind therefore you will become good enough. This will transform your life and your future positively. When people say ‘NO’ to us, it’s a bit egotistical to imagine that everyone we meet and everyone we know is passing judgement on us. Remember this, you’re not the center of everyone else’s universe, but you’re only the center of our own! Thus, do not take rejection personally, we can change it.

Well, some people might ask, what if somebody has rejected me? What if somebody say ‘NO’ to me? What should I do? It’s very easy, just ask why did they say ‘NO’ to you. Ask them why they reject your idea, what does it needs to make it to a ‘YES’. Only by doing so, you will improve. Do you really think that all the victors never been rejected before? Those who succeed in life generally has been rejected more than average people. But they look for the answer why did they get rejected, and improve their idea until they get a ‘YES’.

Dealing with rejection is like being a weightlifter. The more you deal with the weight of each rejection, the more muscle you build and the stronger you become. Soon enough, those rejections will mean nothing to you. You can therefore, terminate rejections! Falling into rejections can be a great immobilizer, most people will give up and back to their comfort zones. Comfort zones will not take you anywhere, although staying in comfort zone feels good. But comfort zone will not make your dreams come true and will not bring you the abundant life that you’re asking for. Then how can we get out of our comfort zone? Another easy task, whatever rejections you’ve suffered, whatever fears you’ve felt, just do this, take a deep breath, and continue on what you’re suppose to do.

Being rejected is not the end of the world. It is simply another step you have taken on the road to being accepted. Just think about Thomas Edison, Wright Brothers, Slyvester Stallone and Henry Ford, how much rejections they’ve face before? A lot more than ordinary people. In fact, the more you get rejected, the more success you are! And what do you remember of them? Only their successes. So you see, people will not remember about your failure, people will only remember your successes, your amazing results. Always keep this in mind :

Fear of rejection only exists in our minds. When someone rejects us we need to keep that rejection at arm’s length and remember that it has nothing to do with us personally. Don’t take the rejection to heart. There’s a plan, there’s always a plan. I’ve come to believe that rejection is really just a test to see how badly we really want what we say we want. By thinking logically and clearly, I believe you can redefine rejections, and you can achieve a ‘YES’ in the end.
