If You Want to Earn, Learn to Serve

This is what I have learned from my past experience. If you want to earn money, then you will have to learn to serve. In fact, if you want to make money, you have to serve people. Take blogging as example, why did you publish all valuable posts? What are the reasons? The reason will be to serve your blog’s readers. It is the same in business, if you have a list of subscribers, you have to serve them too.

Serve Your Readers
This is what, in your blog, you should always think from the perspective of your readers. Put yourself in the shoe of your visitors. This is what I notice, many people did not actually read their own blog! Can imagine how crazy this is? If you want to understand more about your readers, you want to know what they are looking for, you have to read their mind. Don’t act like you know everything about your readers, you will not know what every of your readers want.

Learn to Serve

Take this blog, The Millionaire Secrets for example, some of my readers come to my blog because they are looking for blogging tips, while some others are looking for ways to earn money online, and don’t forget those who come for motivation and success tips as well. So you see, you have to put yourself in the shoe of your readers, figure out what they want only then you can provide what they want. Therefore, learn to serve your readers first if you want to build a successful blog. Always write good content and have a nice design of your blog. Again, this is for your readers as well. They come to your blog for information, so post quality content for them. They will read your blog post, so design your blog in such a way that it is easy to read. I believe you got what I mean now right? Great.

Serve Your Prospects and Customers
The same thing goes for your prospects and your customers. If you have a list (it is a MUST HAVE if you want to build serious, big and long-term profits online), you will have to serve your subscribers, because they are your prospects and might be your long-term customers. Have you came across some promoters who know how to promote his or her products very effectively? I believe that you went to shopping center before and you have met someone likes this. There are only two factors that determine whether a product sells. One is the product itself, it can be a hot product which everyone knows about and it can sell automatically. Another reason is this, it depends on how people promote it. That is why you have to learn to promote, to serve your subscribers well.

Here is what you need to do before you serve your people. You have to know what they want. For example in blogs, you can run a simple poll which collects the information from your readers and visitors, just like what I do. Once you know what people want, then you can serve them better. This is common sense right? Right! Think about it, will you approach a stranger and sell him an ice-cream? If he is in the mood of purchasing, maybe he will buy. Or you can do it the other way round, approach the stranger, ask him what flavor of ice-cream he wants to eat, then buy that ice-cream and sell him. Which one is more effective?

I believe you know the answer. This is how it works. It is the same no matter in blogging or any online businesses. You have to first find out what your prospects want, then serve them. This is who people make money from their business, by serving, not selling. Think carefully, it has the similar idea as creating value.
