These pillar articles are the core content of your blog, and they are what your visitors are looking for. Once you have created enough pillar articles, your blog will be solid and becomes very informative.

Only then it will be your time to market your blog, keep on driving traffic to your blog. Meaning that you need to have pillar articles that work as the valuable content which your visitors are looking for first, then only you drive traffic to your blog. Once you’ve a lot of pillar articles, and after you’ve generated some traffic to your blog, your blog will soar. You will turn your visitors into readers, people are telling their net friends about your blog and start linking to you because you are providing what they are looking for and what you post in your blog is valuable. By that time, your audience will be your leveraging tool by spreading the news about your blog over the net. This is how you can create a solid blog, attract visitors and make them come back for more.

So what are the pillar articles that you should write about? Very easy, there are a few. The first type is the ‘how to’ articles. This kind of articles teach people about something. For example if you are blogging about dog food, maybe you can post something like ‘how to look for the right dog food for your dog’. Another type of pillar article is the list type, such as ‘the top 3 blah blah’, ‘10 ways to…’. This are the list type of pillar articles you can create. There is one more type of pillar article, the definitive articles. It is something like ‘what is Making You Richer‘ and ‘what is StumbleUpon’. This kind of articles are proven that they work best in attracting visitors to read them. You can also create a short report and give it away for free in your blog. This way, you will attract a lot of visitors because of viral marketing from your free report.
