How To Affirm Your Goals
One way to stretch your comfort zone is to bombard your subconscious mind with new thoughts and images - of a big bank account, a trim and healthy body, exciting work, interesting friends, memorable vacations - of all your goals already complete. The technique you use to do this is called affirmations.
Affirmation is one of the most powerful success strategies that almost every successful person use to achieve amazing results in their life.
This is the quote from Jim Carry:
I’ve always believed in magic. When I wasn’t doing anything in this town, I’d go up every night, sit on Mulholland Drive, look out at the city, stretch out my arms, and say, “Everybody wants to work with me. I’m a really good actor. I have all kinds of great movie offers.” I’d just repeat these things over and over, literally convincing myself that I had a couple of movies lined up. I’d drive down that hill, ready to take the world on, going, “Movie offers are out there for me, I just don’t hear them yet.” It was like total affirmations, antidotes to the stuff that stems from my family background.
Having a clear and definite plan in your life is just the first step, affirming it constantly is the second step. In fact, it is the affirmations that you make in your life that brings you amazing results.
This is because when you affirm your goals and what you want to achieve in your life, you’re actually strengthening your mind about achieving them. By affirming over and over again, you’ll get yourself motivated and making your goals even more realistic. Everything and every step that you take will lead you toward your goals.
The problem with most people is that they are not affirming their goals. They just write down their goals on a piece of paper, put it somewhere and forget about it. If you’re truly serious in achieving your goals, you must do affirmation everyday.
The best way how you can affirm your goal is by writing down your goals on a card. And then put it beside your bed where you sleep. Every morning right after you wake up, read your goals to affirm them. Do this at least twice, one after you wake up and one before you sleep.
This is the best way to keep yourself motivated and to sink the idea of achieving your goals into your subconscious mind. Of course, you can also do this when you are free. For example, when you are queuing, when you are driving and when you are bathing. Use the free time you have to affirm your goals and imagine about the achievement of your goals.
Writing down your goals only build the momentum in you, and if you want to keep that momentum going, you need to affirm your goals.
You should know it very well that it is the lack of action that makes most people fail to achieve their goals. And the reason for the lack of action is because of the lack of motivation. Sometimes you’ll feel that you’re motivated, you’re driven and you’re ready to take on the world. And this is when you take the most action to make your goals come true.
However, you’ll not be in this state all the time. Sometimes you’ll feel lazy and you’ll feel down and you don’t wish to take any action at all. This is why affirmation is so important. Because it keeps you motivated, it keeps you driven and it makes you ready to take on the world.
So this is your assignment for today, get a piece of card and write down your goals. What you want to achieve in your life and what kind of lifestyle you want to live in. How much money you want to earn and when are you going to become a millionaire.
Make sure that you’re brief in it and use present tense in this. Your affirmations must be measurable and have a deadline. Just like you’re setting your goals. If you’re going to become rich, how much you’re going to earn and when are you going to earn it?
Here’s the affirmation of Jack Canfield:
God is my infinite supply and large sums of money come to me quickly and easily under the grace of God for the highest good of all concerned. I am happily and easily earning, saving and investing $100,000 a year.
Don’t procrastinate and don’t delay. Once you finished this article, take out a piece of card and do it now. This is the most powerful success strategy you can ever find. Use it wisely!
Keep doing this for the next 21 days. Affirm your goals in the morning and night.

Affirmation is one of themes I like. We need affirmation as already you said, so we will always remember our dream and never easy to give up.
Great post, Shawn.
