You can have all the money you want, if you know how to make use of an idea.

Every money making opportunity starts with an idea. The monitor screen you are looking right now, the keyword in front of you, the internet browser software you are using to read this article, even the blog and the post you are reading right now, was once an idea in somebody’s mind.

Let’s face it, everyone wants to be rich, everyone wants to be a millionaire and everyone wants huge money. The main problem with most people is that they don’t know how they can create the wealth that they desire.

Have you ever heard of this guy called Moe Siegel? Moe is the founder of the Celestial Seasonings tea. Before he created all his wealth, when he was picking seeds and herbs, he would tell his fellow friends, “Someday I’ll have a tea company to rival Lipton.” Everyone always said, “Yeah, sure, sure.”

Well, he started by selling his little teas to health food stores. Then he began expanding, and before long he was selling them to every chain in America.

The moral of the story is this, did Moe start with money? Did he start out with big factory or warehouse? Did he have a giant corporation behind him? Was he negative?

The answer to all the questions above is NO! So what does this mean? It means that creating wealth start from an idea, a vision, a goal, or a dream.

If you don’t believe this, simply read the biography of every successful person and you will find that they all started with absolutely nothing. In fact, many of them started broke. All they have is an idea and a vision of making it big.

If you are going to be a millionaire, you must start with an idea, nurture it, cherish it like helpless little baby. It will grow. You’ll have other idea flash into your mind that will tell you how to can do it. Then you do it!

This is the real secret how to create wealth!

Do you still skeptical about the statement that wealth is created from an idea or a vision?

After going through this favorite story from Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, I believe that you’ll agree with the statement…

It’s wintertime in Cincinnati long ago. A cold wind chills the crowds hurrying along the busy street. A young boy, at the age of around 11, has stopped outside the building that houses the city’s newspaper, the powerful and respected Cincinnati Enquirer.

One figure particular has caught his eye: a burly man in shirtsleeves seated at a central desk. An unlighted cigar is clamped between his teeth. His desk bristles with scraps of typescript impaled on spikes. Papers overflow from wire baskets. But power emanates from that desk, and the boy in the street can sense it. He knows that this man is in command.

A policeman saunters past, twirling his nightstick. And the boy turns to him, and ask, “Officer, who is that man in there? The one with the eye shade and the cigar?”

“Him?” The policeman answers. “He’s the editor, sonny. The editor of the Cincinnati Enquirer, that’s who he is.”

The policeman moves on. Finally the boy goes down the street, looking just as he did before. But he is not the same as before. He is changed. He’s no longer aware of the cold wind or the hurrying crowds around him. Inside his head a scene is forming - not just a vague or casual daydream, but a vision of the future that has all the reality, all the intensity of the present.

Intuitively, the boy knows that sooner or later what he is visualizing will come to pass. He is sure of it. The scene in his head is a replica of the scene he has just witnessed behind the plate-glass window, with one all-important change. The occupant of the editor’s chair, thirty years hence, is himself.

This boy is Roger Ferger, a poor youngster with no connections, no advantages, nothing except an image so powerful that it will bend all the laws of probability until they conform to an even stronger, though hidden law.

This is how you can create wealth, with an idea and a vision in your mind. Ideas are everywhere. Once an idea comes across your mind, write it down. If you think that you’re not creative enough and you don’t have any money making ideas, don’t worry, a vision will do the job.

So do you have a vision? Have you ever came across a sport car on the road that truly caught your attention, and then you said to yourself, “One day I’m going to own it.”

Well, that is a vision. I believe that everyone here has a vision. If you think that you don’t have any vision, it is most probably because you’re not aware of it.

Pay close attention to what you think everyday. Find out what you really want in your life, look for your vision and start to develop that idea.

Having an idea of generating wealth is not enough, you need to focus all your energy on making that idea or vision comes true. Too many people dangling in nowhere because they just dream of becoming rich, but they never really take action to make their dreams come true.

Remember, nothing is going to happen automatically. There are reasons for everything that happens in your life. So make the dreams of yours, the ideas in your head, the vision and the goals you had in your mind the reasons for you to be rich.

Problems Are Opportunities In Disguise

“I’ve got a problem.”

The young man had just come up to Dr. Norman Vincent Peale on Fifth Avanue in New York City, grabbed him by the lapels and said, “Dr. Peale, please help me. I can’t handle my problems. They’re just too much.”

Dr. Peale said, “Look, I’ve got to give a talk. If you’ll let go of my lapels, I’ll show you a place where there are people with no problems.”

The man said, “If you could do that, I’d give anything to go there.”

Dr. Peale said, “You may not want to go there, once you see the place. It’s just 2 blocks away.”

They walked up to the Forest Lawn cemetery and Dr. Peale said, “Look, there are 150,000 people in there. I happen to know that none of them has a problem.”

This is one of Dr. Peale’s favorite stories. There are ‘problems’ anywhere in our life. Unless you’re dead, you’ll face with problems everyday. The thing is, problems are a sign of life. If you have a big problem, be thankful for it. It proves that you’re still alive and functioning.

Some say, in fact, that the best way to judge a person is by the size of the problems he or she has. So you see, it is all about dealing with problems. If you know how to deal with problems effectively, you can achieve much more in your life.

Problems are often opportunities in disguise. Let me tells you another great real-life story about dealing with problems and having the lack of confident in life. This story, happened on one of the great author and self-help guru, Mark Victor Hansen (the author of Chicken Soup For The Soul) and a guy named Malcolm.

Mark was given a talk in Vancouver, a few years ago, and he happened to notice a man sitting in the front row who had the most mangled face he’d ever seen. He had stitches all the way across his face. One eyelid was stitched shut. Even his mouth was three-quarters stitched shut.

Mark remembers when he was talking about the importance of hugging, and at the break Malcolm came up and hugged Mark. With a raspy voice he said, “My name’s Malcolm.” Mark could tell from Malcolm’s tone that he expected to be recognized, but if Mark had seen him before, he didn’t know where or when.

He said, “I’m the guy who wrote you that letter.” He started telling Mark about it, and Mark remembered immediately. He had written that some ten years ago, he and his fiancee had been walking one weekend through the north woods of British Columbia minding their own business.

Somehow they had gotten between a mama bear and her baby cubs. The mama, just wanting to protect her cubs, had grabbed hold of his fiancee. Malcolm is just 5 feet 2 inches tall and the bear was enormous, but he felt courage and managed to disentangle his fiancee, whereupon the mama bear grabbed him and proceeded to crush every major bone in Malcolm’s body.

She finished by sinking her claws in his face and ripping straight across it, back toward the scalp.

It’s amazing that Malcolm lived. He was in restorative surgery for the next 8 years. By that time the doctors had done all the cosmetic surgery they could do. It hadn’t helped much, and he saw himself as an ugly person. He didn’t want to expose himself to society.

So he went in his wheelchair to the tenth-floor roof of his rehabilitation center and was ready to push himself over the edge when his father appeared. His father had heard an intuitive voice telling him to go see his son.

Just in time, his father came running up to the top of the stairs and said, “Wait a second, son.”

Malcolm turned around in the wheelchair. “What, Dad?”

His father said, “Malcolm, every human being has scar tissue deep inside him somewhere. Most of us wear it under a smile, some cosmetics and nice attire. You get to wear yours on the outside. But we’re all the same.”

Malcolm could no longer thrust himself off that building.

A short time later a friend of his brought him tapes of Mark’s public appearances. He started listening and heard the story Mark tells of Paul Jeffers, who lost his hearing at age 42 and has now become one of the most outstanding salesmen in the world. Mark heard it when Paul said, “Setbacks are given to ordinary people to make them extraordinary.”

Malcolm said to himself, “That’s me, I am extraordinary!”

He wrote down what he wanted to do. He dreamed about it and told everyone about it. Then he went out and got a job in insurance sales, a job where he has to expose his appearance to people everyday. He puts his picture on his business cards, hands them to people and said, “I’m ugly on the outside, but I’m beautiful on the inside if you just get a chance to know me.”

In 1987, Malcolm became the number one insurance agent in Vancouver. Fate had dealt him a terrible hand to play. But he turned it into a golden opportunity.

You see, what Malcolm learned was that his looks weren’t his problem. It wasn’t his appearance that held him back. That was just an excuse. In life, one has excuses or results. It was his vision of himself that was the problem. If he saw himself as beautiful. Then he was beautiful.

Once Malcolm ’saw’ what he really looked like, his scars became irrelevant. Once he broke through his fears by opening himself up to others, he was able to move forward with astounding results. So can you.

This is an inspiring story. Do you dare to fail? Do you have what it takes to achieve the things that you want in your life?

Or do you give excuses and not doing anything to achieve your dreams? All the problems happen on you are problems only because you ’see’ them as problems. If you ’see’ them as opportunities, then they will become opportunities.

When something bad happen on you, it doesn’t mean that you’re going to fail. Sometimes when something bad happens, it turned out to be an opportunity.

Do you want to achieve the things that you always wanted? Let me tell you something, in fact, achieving what you want in your life is not as difficult as you think.

It is the process of getting what you want that makes it difficult.

For example, if you want to be a millionaire and make a lot of money. Deep in your mind you know that what you need to do in order to achieve this goal, right? For instance, when you think about becoming a millionaire, maybe you’ll straight away think of investing in the stock market, or maybe it is real-estate that comes into your mind.

Whatever it is, you know exactly what you need to do to achieve your goals and to fulfill your dreams. The main problem with most people is that they procrastinate and never take the necessary action.

Think about it, why haven’t you achieved the things that you want in your life? Why haven’t you rich? Why haven’t you live in the luxury bungalow that you always wanted? Why haven’t you drive the sport car that you keep on thinking about?

The answer is obvious, you are not taking enough or the right action to make your dreams and goals come true. Am I right?

Almost 90% of us failed to achieve the things that we desire in our life is because of the lack of action. I honestly tell you that achieving the success you want is not difficult because if you read the biography of every successful person, you’ll find that they possess a certain set of mindset, behavior and attitude.

Do you think that achieving great success is difficult? In short, here is how you can achieve what you want in your life…

1. Focus On Your Dreams.

I believe that you know exactly what you want out of your life right? Dreaming about getting what you want is not enough, you need to put in 100% focus in achieving it. If you want to become a millionaire, you’ll have to focus in becoming a millionaire.

When you were just a kid, I believe that you must have something that you want from your parents. Maybe it is a toy or maybe it a place that you want to visit. When you were a kid and you want a bicycle for example, what were you going to do? You were going to cry and shout if your parents did not give you what you want.

Truly think about it, there must be a similar situation happened on you before. Do you get what you want eventually? Most of the time. This is why you need to stay focused in achieving your dreams.

When you put in 100% focus, you’ll definitely do whatever it takes to achieve it.

2. Take Hell Lots of Action

The next step is to take massive amount of action. In order for you to achieve something that you want, you’ll need to take action. Nothing is going to happen without action. Why are you reading this post of mine right now? What makes you click on the button and arrive at my blog now? It is the action that you took that leads you here.

If you are not going to take any action, nothing is going to happen. You can buy hell lots of self-improvement books and read until you’re addicted to them but still you’ll never change. Why? Simply because you’re not applying what you’ve learned. Action is the key to real success.

Learning alone is not enough. Learning is just the potential form of success. The true success lies within the action that you take each and everyday.

These are the only 2 ingredients that you will need to achieve what you want in your life. Is it complicated? I don’t think so. All you need to do to achieve what you want in your life are:

Know what you want, and
Take action to make it come true.

As simple as that. In fact, there are no secrets to success. If you’re looking for the secrets to success, I can tell you that there are none. The real secrets lie within your mind. It is all about how you make use of your mind.

If you’re ‘feeding’ your mind with garbage, you’ll get garbage results. Just like what the phrase “garbage in garbage out” means. You need to think positively to get positive results.

Never before someone that adopts negative thinking ever succeeded in their life. Every successful person adopts the positive thinking habits. Maybe they have negative thinking, but that is just for a while. They know that if they think negatively, they’re going to end up with negative results.

Mindset is one of the most crucial factors in determining your success. If you fail to conquer your inner-self, instead, you let your inner-self controls you, you’ll be like a ship without a captain. To succeed in your life, you need to be the captain of your soul, you need to master your mind and take action on the outside.

The Theory of Self-fulfilling Prophecy

Some interesting experiments have been carried out by Dr. Robert Rosenthal, a Harvard University psychologist, to prove the truth of this theory, the self-fulfilling prophecy theory…

This professor went in to ghetto area of San Francisco where school children were undisciplined, non-achievers, poor students. He picked at random 24 students and divided them into 2 groups.

He put half of these children in the hands of certain teachers, telling them that these children had tremendous potential. He assigned the other 12 children to another group of teachers, telling these teachers that the children lacked any real potential, that doubtless it would be impossible to accomplish anything with them.

Then, he prescribed a series of training exercises for all these students to be put through.

6 months later he returned to check on results. The students in the charge of teachers who had been told to expect good things were doing spectacular work, while the other children were, if anything, more listless and desultory than before.

So what does this tell us?

What people think you expect of them, they will usually deliver. And what your own psyche, your own unconscious mind thinks you expect of it, it will deliver. When you hope strongly enough, expectancy goes to work for you.

Therefore, before you even achieve the success you want, you must first ‘accomplished’ it in your mind. Tell your mind that you’ll definitely achieve it and you’ll expect it to be done. You will become who you think of most of the time. If you think that you’re poor, you’ll be poor.

If you think that you’re going to be a millionaire, chances are, you’ll eventually become a millionaire. Why is this so? This is simply because the theory of self-fulfilling prophecy works.

Everything starts from your mind, from your thinking. Look at the monitor screen you’re looking at now, it was once an invention in someone else’s mind. Look at this blog of mine, it was once an idea in my blog, and then it became true, I created this blog and you’re reading it now.

Fake It Till You Make It

You need to adopt the ‘act as if’ habit. With that means, if you’re not a millionaire but you want to be one, then you’ll have to ‘act as if’ you’re already a millionaire. This is what most of the successful people will do. The moment they haven’t accomplished great results in their life, they keep on acting as if they’ve achieved all the amazing results that they desire.

If you still remember Roger Bannister, you’ll know that he used this theory of self-fulfilling theory to help him to break the world record. Never before people break the record of running 1 mile in less than 4 minutes. He is the first one who did it because he practiced by keep on visualizing that he had successfully did it.

In other words, he act as if he had broke the record. If you want to create the same amazing results just like Roger Bannister, you’ll need to leverage on this theory.

How To Develop Passion For Success

As you know, passion is the single most important key to success. If you want to be successful in your business, you’ve got to love your business, you’ve got love to run it, marketing it, manage it and so on. Without passion, nothing you do is going to bring amazing results.

There are a lot of successful people out there, everyone of them possess this key, they are passionate in what they do. Michael Jordan loves basketball, Tiger Woods loves golf, Donald Trump has great passion in real-estate and making deals, Bill Gates loves software and Warren Buffett has intense passion in the stock market.

So you see, every of the successful people love what they do and that is why they can create amazing results in their field. The moment you are doing something that you love, it is not working for you anymore, instead, it is enjoying.

You’ll feel that you’ve the drive and motivation that can keep you going all the time. Even if it is late at night, but when you talk about something that you love, you’ll feel energetic about it.

And the key point is this, when you do something passionately, with enthusiasm, you’ll achieve what you want.

You must have been to school before don’t you? Why in some classes you’ll fall asleep? Is it because you don’t like to study or you hate the subject? What if I tell you that it is because of the teacher? It is because the teacher is teaching unenthusiastically?

Every subject that you learned in school can be interesting, if the teacher knows how to teach enthusiastically. This is why sometimes you’ll feel boring and wanted to sleep during some classes, while in some other classes, you feel 100% awake and you concentrate during the class.

With that means, no matter what you do, in order to ‘activate’ others, to get them to be enthusiastic, you must first be enthusiastic yourself. The word ‘activate’ here means motivate, drive and inspire.

For example, when you come across a salesman who is selling a pen to you, will you buy? Well, it depends. If the salesman talks to you with lousy voice where he has no interest in buying that pen himself, do you think he’ll convince you to buy? Of course not. However, if the salesman is passionate and very enthusiastic in promoting the pen to you, most probably you’ll get affected by the positive energy and eventually you buy the pen.

The enthusiastic salesman need never worry about unenthusiastic buyers. The enthusiastic teacher needs never worry about disinterested students. The activated minister need never be distressed by a sleepy congregation.

1. Dig It Deeper

Make this little test. Think of two things in which you have little or no interest - maybe cards, certain kinds of music, a sport, etc. Now ask yourself “How much do I really know about these things?” Odds are 100 to 1 that your answer is “Not much”.

Years ago I don’t have any passion with blogging. Until one day a friend of mine told me what I can accomplish with blogs. Really, now I’ve dug into it, I find it interesting.

To get enthusiastic, learn more about the thing you are not enthusiastic about. Chances are you are quite uninterested about bumble bees. But if you study bumble bees, find out what good they do, how they relate to other bees, how they reproduce, where they live in winter… If you find out all you can about bumble bees, you’ll soon find yourself really interested in bumble bees.

Today, millions of people invest in corporate securities, but there are many millions more who have no interest at all in the stock market. Why is this so? This is simply because they are people who have not familiarized themselves with what the stock market is all about, how it operates, the day-to-day romance of a business.

So dig deeper and you’ll develop enthusiasm. Put this principle to work next time you must do something you don’t want to do. Just dig deeper and you’ll dig up interest.

2. Give It A Life

Enthusiasm or lack of it, shows through in everything you say and do. Life up your handshake. When you shake your hand, make your handclasp and say “I’m glad to know you”. A conservative, mouse-like handshake is worse than no handshake at all.

Try to go out there and shake your hand with successful people. You’ll find that all their handshakes are firm and fill with passion.

It is just like when you smile, give it a life, life up your smile. Nobody likes an artificial, pasted-on, rubbery smile. People go along with the fellow who believes what he says. Say with life. Put vitality into your speaking. Whether you are talking to a garden club, a prospect, or your children, put enthusiasm behind what you say.

A sermon delivered enthusiastically may be remembered for months, even years. But a sermon delivered without enthusiasms will be mostly forgotten in 167 hours before the next Sunday rolls around.

Just try this right now. Say out loud with force and vigor, “I feel great today!” Now, don’t you actually feel better than you did before you said it? Make yourself alive all over.

3. Broadcast Good News

When someone burst in and suddenly said, “I’ve got good news!” Immediately you’ll feel energetic and he will get 100% of your attention. Good news does more than get attention, good news pleases people. Good news develop enthusiasm as well.

Just because there are more broadcasters of bad news than there are broadcasters of good news, don’t be misled. No one ever won a friend, no one ever made money, no one ever accomplished anything by broadcasting bad news. Transmit good news to your family, tell them the good that happened today, recall the amusing, pleasant things you experienced and let the unpleasant things stay buried.

It’s pointless to pass on the bad. It only makes your family worry, makes them nervous. Bring home some sunlight everyday. Ever notice how seldom children complain about the weather? They take hot weather in stride until the negative news corps educate them to be conscious of unpleasant temperatures.

Be an “I-feel-great” person all the time. Just say “I feel great” at every possible opportunity and you’ll feel better. When you tell people you are awful, you’ll feel awful eventually. Transmit good news to the people you work with, give them encouragement, compliment them at every opportunity, tell them positive things the company is doing and listen to their problems.

Sometimes when you are down or you are facing difficulties, you can still broadcast it as good news. This is because you can choose how you should respond in what had happened on you. Do you still remember the formula, Event + Response = Outcome?

3 Foundation For Successful Goal Setting

Do you have any goals that you want to achieve but in the end you fail to achieve them?

This is a very common problem that most people face. I mean, they know what they want and they even written down their goals, but still they fail to achieve their goals.

Why is this so? One of the reasons is because that most people do not build the foundation for successful goal setting. Do you know that you need to strong foundation so that you will be able to achieve your goals much more easily?

For most people, the moment they fail to achieve their goals, they put the responsibility on other factors. For example, they blame the economy for being bad, they blame their parents for not supporting them, they blame their wife or their husband, they blame anything except themselves.

Know this, if you put the responsibility on other people, do you think that you will improve? Do you think that you will change? Not at all. This is because when you blame other people, you are not in control and you will never change.

Let’s face it, do you know how to set your goals? Most people don’t. They know that they need to set goals in order to achieve what they want, but they don’t know how they can do so.

The road to success is a bumpy one, it is never straight, there are a lot of obstacles that you’ll need to overcome, so do you still want to go for it?

Action Produces Results

Many people lives a mediocre life because most of them give up, they procrastinate in taking action, they delay what they need to do in order to make them successful. Ask yourself, “What have you done today that will bring you to your goals?”

If your answer is none, how are you going to achieve your goals? How are you going to achieve what you want in your life? How are going to achieve the great success that you always wanted? Let’s face it, you want more money, you want to become a millionaire, but you are not taking any steps that will make you a millionaire!

This is what is happening with most people. They know what they want, but they are not doing anything to achieve what they want. Don’t expect that you will become a millionaire automatically. There is no free lunch in this world. You need to take action if you are expecting results.

If you want to lose 10 pounds but you are not doing anything about it, how in the world are those fats going to disappear from your body? That is just not possible. I don’t think that money will come to you automatically. Even if you are someone with extremely good luck, you will still need to take the action to buy the lottery if you want to win it.

So the first step that you need to take in order to achieve what you want in your life, is to take massive of action. It is action that produces results, hence, if you want results, take action, massive of action.

The More You Fail, The More Successful You Will Be

If you read the biographies and autobiographies of great people, you’ll discover that each of these people could have surrendered to setbacks many times. This is what you can do now, learn the background of the president of your company, or the mayor of your city, or select any person you consider a real success. When you probe, you’ll discover the individual has overcome big, real obstacles.

It is not possible to win high-level success without meeting opposition, hardship and setback. But it is possible to use setbacks to propel you forward. Let me give you some examples:

Doctors use setbacks to pave the way to better health and longer life. Often when a patient dies for an uncertain reason, doctors person a post-mortem to find out why. In this way they learn more about the functioning of the human body, and lives of other people are saved. Doctors learn from setbacks, obstacles, etc.

A sales executive devotes one entire sales meeting a month to helping his salesman discover why they lost important sales. The lost sale is reconstructed and carefully examined. In this way, the salesman learns how to avoid losing similar sales in the future. Businessman learns from past performance and experiences to make more sales.

The football coach who wins more games that he loses goes over the details of each game with his team to point out their mistakes. Tom works in a multi-million company, it is paying other employees big salaries but not for Tom.

Tom even tried to ask for pay raise and often, his boss told him this, “Why do you believe you are justified in asking for an increase?”. And Tom gave him a lot of reasons, “I’d been passed over when others around here were getting pay raises. My bills are getting larger and my paycheck isn’t. I do everything around here they ask me to do.”

Is this is what happening to you? Do you ever have the thoughts in your mind, “Sure, I could do a better job if they paid me for it, but only a fool does something he isn’t paid for.” If you have this kind of thinking, you’re having the wrong mindset! You have to change it now.

You don’t get a raise on the promise of better performance, you get a raise only by demonstrating better performance. You can’t harvest the money unless you plant the seeds that grow money.

Let me give you another clear example of how you can plant your money seeds using the ’service first’ mentality.

Consider which producers make the money from movies. The get-rich-quick producer proceeds to make a picture. Putting money ahead of entertainment, he cuts corners everywhere. He buys a poorly written script and employs second-rate writers to adapt it. In employing actors, arranging sets, even in recording sound, he puts money first. This producer thinks the movie-goer is a sucker, someone who can’t tell good from bad.

But the get-rich-quick producer seldom does get rich quick. There never is a bandwagon movement to buy anything second-class, especially when it is given a first-class price.

The producer who enjoys the largest profits from pictures put entertainment ahead of money. Rather than chisel the movie-goer, he does everything possible to give people more and better entertainment than they expect to get. As a result, people like the movie. It gets talk about, it gets good review and it makes money.

I believe after going through this example, you are now cleared with the meaning of planting money seeds and how you can do so. Here is a powerful rule that will help you to develop the habit of planting money seeds in your life:

“Always give people more than they expect to get.”

Your thinking is one of the most powerful tools that you must leverage on if you want to achieve great success in your life. Using your mind to achieve what you want is the best success strategy, and to think big, is the most practical and easiest way.

Did you know that everything that comes into your eye will become pictures in your mind? Even when you are reading this post of mine, your mind will create pictures so that you can easily absorb what you are reading. Here is the key to thinking big, when you think about something, you think about it in picture, not in words.

This is what I called mind pictures. Whenever you think about something, your mind will create pictures or images from experience stored in your mind that you have come across before. When you speak or read, your mind automatically converts words and phrases into mind pictures.

If someone tells you he had just bought a brand new Nokia mobile phone, you will straight away see the picture of a mobile phone in your mind. Your mind pictures that you see are modified by the words that you use to name or describe things. Just like when someone tells you about BMW, you will straight away picture the shape of the car, the design and so on. But when someone tells you about MiniCooper, you will picture different images in your mind. This is how words play an important role in shaping your life.

Suppose you tell your friend, “I’m sorry to report that I’ve failed.” What will your friend see? What will he think about? He probably will see defeat and all the disappointment and grief the word ‘fail’ conveys. Now, what if you tell your friend, “Here’s a new approach which I think will work.” He will feel encourage and ready to try again.

What I’m going to tell you is that, you need to think positively, be an optimist instead of thinking negatively. Every successful people think positively, and this is their number one success strategy.

One thing about thinking is that, most people will think negatively instead of positively. If your thinking is conservative, it will be hard for you to improve. Everyday there are more signs of expanding opportunity, so don’t sell yourself short. When you see an advertisement in the newspaper, it is a job that you like, what will you do?

For most people, they will think, “What a great job, but I’m not good enough for this job, so why bother?” Or maybe you see someone that you really like but you don’t call her because you think that your standard is not as high as her, or maybe you think that you do not rate with her?

These are the common conservative thinking that most people will face in their lives. When you go for an interview, if the interviewer asks you what is your expected salary, what kind of answer will you give? Again, most people will put in a modest number because they feel that they are not worth the bigger sum that they would earn.

So rule number one in positive thinking:

“Never sell yourself short! You know you are better than that.”

So if you are someone who always think negatively or conservatively, what can you do in order to change it? Very simple, below are 3 simple steps that you can follow to help you develop as a positive thinker.

1. Use Positive Words In Your Daily Conversation

Always use positive words in your communication or when you are talking to yourself (in your mind). When someone asks you, “How do you feel today?” What kind of answer should you give? If you respond with an “I’m tired, I have a headache, I wish it was saturday and I’m not feeling good.” If you give this kind of answer, you are making yourself worse. You need to start from this, even it is just a small simple point, but it will give you tremendous power over the long period.

So next time when somebody asks you how do you feel, tell them that you are feeling wonderful, great or fantastic. Make sure your answer is a positive answer. You will feel better when your words changes to positive words. Remember this, “Fake it till you make it”.

2. Encourage and Praise Others Often

It is good if you can use positive words in your daily conversation. There is one more thing that you can do with your daily conversation, that is to praise other people. You need to learn how to use positive language to encourage people. Think about it, if you have a special word for your wife or husband everyday, notice that he or she will stay in a positive state all the time. And when this happens, the whole surrounding will become a positive one. This is how successful people can always be motivated all the time, because they make use of their environment by changing other people’s state.

So always remember that you have to envision a positive future. Don’t see yourself as someone lousy who are earning or living a mediocre life. What is happening to you now do not mean that it will be the same for you in the next few years. We all have the same mind, we can think whatever we want, so choose to think something positive whenever you can.
