What Blogging Platform You Use?

April 7th, 2008

There are basically 3 famous blogging platform, they are Blogger.com, WordPress, and TypePad. All three of them are popular and many bloggers use them. For you, which one did you use? Sometimes, there are bloggers who ask which platform should they use. The answer will be depends on reasons they blog. If you are blogging about your private life, how much you love your girlfriend, what you hate to do, etc, then having a free blogging platform like Blogger.com will be fine.

Blogging Platform

However, if your purpose here is to earn money online and you are serious in your blogging business. Then you should definitely go for WordPress. It is free to download, just download it and upload it into your server. Here is a real case from I took from Yaro Starak, one of my favorite bloggers. You should always check out his blog, there are a lot of useful content which can help you build your blog. Below is from Yaro:

I’ll tell you a story about Steve. Steve is a niche blogger. He set up lots of little blogs on all kinds of topics (niches) aiming to make a few dollars from each blog by placing Google AdSense advertisements on them. Google pays you when someone clicks on the ads.

After a few months he did really well and built up his income. None of his blogs had a lot of traffic, but they got enough from search engines that each blog earned between $1 and $10 per day. In total he earned over $2000 per month from his blogs – not a bad effort. One day he turned on his computer and all his blogs had gone. Disappeared. Vanished without a trace…

What happened you ask?

He was using one Blogger.com account to manage his blogs and Blogger.com determined that what he was doing was violating their terms of service. They thought all his blogs were what are called “splogs” – SPAM blogs. Splogs are blogs set up to get traffic to other sites. They are usually automatically generated and the owners have no intention of producing a useful website – they just want to get traffic. Essentially they are the SPAM of the blogging world.

Steve contacted the support staff at Blogger.com to explain that his sites were not SPAM sites but it was difficult to convince them and he never got his blogs reactivated. Overnight he lost his regular $2000 per month income in one hit. If Steve had hosted his blogs on WordPress on his own servers with his own domains this simply would not have happened.

I believe that you can see it clearly now which blogging platform should you choose. Well, like I said, if your purpose is just to blog to occupy your free time, it will be fine. However, if you want to earn money online using your blog, then you have to be professional and own your blog. Not having your own blog (domain and hosting) is just like not having full control of your blogging business. Well, having your own domain and hosting for your blog may be costly in the beginning, but they are well worth it.

I hope that you understand how important it is now to choose the right blogging platform. Once you know your purpose of blogging, it is time to take action, a lot of it. Blogging is an ongoing process, you cannot create a profitable blog which makes you $10,000 in just one day, that will be impossible. If you are building a profitable blog today, then treat your blog like an online real-estate. Your blog’s value will appreciate the longer it stays on course.

Since your blog’s value is going to increase over time, why don’t you start now and be serious with it? I’m sure you can achieve the results you want with your blog if you are committed to it. It is just a matter sooner or later for you to achieve your dreams. Of course, the sooner the better. So start building your blog today and you can enjoy the results faster.

My Blogging Principles

April 4th, 2008

Today, I’m going to share something very important, it is my blogging principle. These principles may be simple for you, but they are what I followed every single day. These principles are what I will do just to improve this blog, The Millionaire Secrets. I don’t know whether if these principles are going to help you in your blogging journey, but what I can tell you here is that these principles truly help me a lot.

Blogging Principles

In fact, I don’t follow these principles before, it is until recently that I decide to write them down, and follow them everyday. What I can see in my blog after implementing all these principles is that the traffic to my blog becomes much more constant. The next thing I noticed is this, the number of subscribers for my blog posts increased after I apply all these principles. So, did you feel excited and wanted to know what are these principles? They are:

1. Stick to my posting schedule, which will be one post everyday

If you are a subscriber of my blog, you will notice that I will publish one post each and everyday. I told myself that I must be committed in blogging. That is why I came up with this principle, to post at least one post everyday no matter how busy I am. I want to develop a good relationship with my readers, I want my blog to be updated everyday, I want my blog’s content remain fresh everyday, I want something new coming up from my blog everyday. That is the reason that keeps me going on. If you notice, you will find that I’m doing this since from a long time ago.

2. Prepare at least 2 extra ‘ready-to-publish’ posts

Yes, I will always write more for my blog. I have at least 2 posts which are ready to post anytime. Why you ask? The answer is simple, it is for emergency use. I believe that no matter how ‘predictable’ your blogging plan is, you will somehow come across with something that is out of your control. And if that happens, you are not able to post in your blog. For example, maybe you have to run some errand outstation, which causes you unable to get online and manage your blog. This is where the Post Timestamp option comes in. Since you already have at least 2 ‘ready-to-publish’ posts in your blog, you can publish them using the timestamp option anytime you want. This will help you stay in your blogging schedule, be committed to it.

3. Insert at least 1 link back to older post

I did not follow this principle last time. You know, I’m such a lazy person, and I find that inserting links to older posts is a very mundane task, and I did not actually do it. However, I will start doing this from now on. You will see that each of my posts start from the last few days contain at least 1 link back to my older post. I believe that you know why it is important to link back to our older post right? If you don’t, just read this, Use Deep Linking In Your Blog For Better SEO.

4. Bold any keywords in post for the ease of readers

Last time, I use bold keywords only for keyword optimization purposes only. Which means that I bold those keywords which I am targeted in my niche market. However, it will be different from now on. I will bold or highlight any keywords which I think are important for my readers. I will bold them to attract my readers, not search engine spiders anymore. For me, this is also an important blogging tips, as it is going to help me attract my reader’s attention and it allows my readers to read my posts much more easily.

5. Visit and comment for those who leave comments

Again, you should know what is comment marketing and how it can helps to boost your blog’s traffic. Comment marketing is consider as old school but it is still working great. It is said that 70% of bloggers are going to visit your blog if you visit their blog and leave some useful comments in their blog. Many successful bloggers out there start building their traffic, visibility and credibility of their blog using comment marketing. They leave comments on other people’s blog everyday. It may seem like a boring task, but it is going to bring you a lot of amazing results if you keep on doing it without giving up. This is also one way where you can build relationship with other bloggers from your same niche. Maybe you will find any great partners this way, who knows.

6. Not the last, always be committed to blogging

This is definitely not the last principles. I believe that my list of principles will keep on going as long as I’m always ready to learn and wanted to improve my blog. Of all the principles which I have covered so far, this is the most crucial principle which you must follow. Without commitment, you are not going to build a great blog. It is through commitment, that leads you to take massive actions. If you are very tired and it is 3am in the morning now, but you have not yet write a post for the day, what will you do? Sleep and do it the next day? Or get motivated and write it before you go to bed? You know your level of commitment.

Want to read more about how commitment is going to affect your life? Read this post of mine, What Does Success Really Means to You. The more committed you are into blogging, the faster you can achieve the results you want with your blog.

These are the principles that I have for now. Like I said above, my blogging principles will increase over time. As long as I’m still managing this blog, I will strive for the very best for my readers. What I’m busy with right now is my FREE 2-week e-course which teaches people how to earn money online. I’m going to launch it within these few days. Just stay tune for it.

The ABC of The Blogging World

April 1st, 2008

Often, there are people asking me what is RSS, what is blog marketing, what is RSS feed, and so on and so forth. So, in this article, I’m going to tell you exactly what are these things. They are the jargons of blogging world, and if you don’t know the meaning of them, it will be a major road block in your route to blogging success. Most starters who face this kind of problems will have a very big time to solve it. This is because they don’t know what it is, they are going to lose their focus and maybe stop and give up.

Blogging Jargons

Take RSS for example, many people who just started to blog did not know what is RSS. They are going to crack their head, search for information regarding with RSS, and they will receive a lot of information which are not really going to help. This is also known as information overloaded. I knew this problem because I’m once a newbie as well. I’m just like you, start from zero, learn everything from scratch. The moment you face setback, there are only two routes for you. Look for more info and learn about it, or stop and give up.

So I hope that with all the blogging jargons explained here, you will have a clearer view of what blogging is all about. You have to build up a solid foundation and learn from the basics. Don’t even think about making millions from your blog if you don’t know what these are:

  • Blogsphere – Represent the world of blogging, consists of all blogs
  • Blogging – To blog is the process to write about something in one’s blog
  • Comments – Response(s) from readers toward a post. Readers can leave their comments under a post in a blog (if the comments allowed setting is on, if it is off, readers are unable to leave their comments)
  • Comment spam – Just like email spam, people or bots may spam your blog with un-resourceful comments.
  • File Transfer Protocol, FTP – A file transfer program which allows you to upload or download files from or to your website
  • Content Management System, CMS – Software for facilitating the maintenance of contents
  • Content Syndication – Make part or your full blog content available for posting on another site
  • Podcasting – Posting audio and video content in your blog instead of simply written content
  • Real Simple Syndication, RSS – Everyone’s favorite question, it is the way to handle website contents and posted on websites or blogs. It allows you to reproduce part or all of the website content simple and automatically
  • RSS Feed – File format containing a blog’s latest contents. It is read by RSS reader or aggregator
  • RSS Reader or Aggregator – Software or online service allowing a person to read multiple RSS feed at one page, especially the latest posts on his favorite blog.

These are the blogging jargons that often confuse those blogger who just started to blog. I hope by now you will understand more about these terms and therefore you can handle your blog much more easily. All these are the ‘language’ of blogging. They are just like the computer language, if you don’t know them, you will not understand how to write a computer software. The same concept applies here. If you don’t know them, you are not going to create a solid blog.

It is just like your brain. Did you know that there are actually brain or mind language which we called neuro linguistic program or NLP? It is the language of your brain, how your brain works and how you can make use of these brain language or patterns to achieve amazing results in your life. You have to first understand the language, then only you can master your mind much more easily. The same goes for blogging as well. Learn the language and basics of blogging, and you can master the blogging skill at a faster rate.

How Often Should You Post In Your Blog?

March 27th, 2008

This is a question that often asked by most newbie bloggers. Frankly, I don’t have the answer for this question. I don’t know how much time you are willing to spend in your blog everyday. For some people, they spend only about one hour into their blog everyday. They publish a post once every two or three days, and their blog is still great! They have many loyal readers. While for some blogger, they publish post every single day, however, their blog is not as popular as the first case. This is why how many post should you publish in your blog does not really matter.

Posting Frequency
It is the posting frequency that matters. For example, if you choose to post everyday, then stick with the plan, and post an article in your blog everyday. Here is the tips, use the timestamp option to make your post publish at the same time everyday. Posting frequency will attract the search engine spider to crawl over your blog. If your posting frequency is not fixed, the frequency for search engine spider to crawl through your blog will not be fixed as well. Meaning that every time you post something new, the search engine won’t know and it will not crawl through your blog.

That is why posting frequency is more important than numbers of posting. If you are publishing a new post every 35 days, then stick with it. Even if you want to change it, change it slowly. Such as, you can slowly publish a post every 4 days, then every 3 days, then 2 and everyday… You have to do the same if you want to reduce the number of posting in your blog. So don’t post 5 articles in the same time, then leave your blog without doing anything for the whole week. If you do so, it is going to kill your blog.

What to Post?
Some people may say, if I want to post everyday, there is no content for me to write. Is this true? Do you really think that you will run out of content for your niche? Really, I don’t think so. You can basically talk about anything that is related to your niche market. If you can’t find anything to write, you can even write your own story or experience with your niche. If you are running out of content and don’t know what to post, you are facing the problem that some people call it, the writers’ block. It means that you are blocking your own thinking, your mind is not open enough. It is the same case for mental block. In fact, it is not ‘out-of-content’ that you are facing, instead, it is your mind that shut all the possible way in your mind to look for content.

Ideas to Blog

When this happens to you, do not worry. Simply rest for away, listen to some music or songs that relax your mind, or you can also talk a walk. This is to refresh your mind so that you can think out of the box. The one thing that I found through my own blogging experience is this, blogging is all about events and experience.

Every time you want to post something and let your readers know, it is because of the events surrounding you or because of your own experience. For example, if you want to post about another similar blog which is performing great in your niche, it is because you have gone through it, and you feel like it is a great blog to share with your readers. This is your own experience which you came across when you surf the net. The same thing goes for affiliate programs. If you are posting about how an affiliate program can help your readers and why they need that product, it is because you want to earn money out of it, it is because of the happening. So can you see the big picture now? It is because of what is happening in our surrouning and the experience that we faced that lead us to post. Therefore, one of the best way you can overcome mental block is this:

Jotting Down Every Ideas That Come Across You
Whenever you come across an idea, quickly jot it down into your notepad, or you can even write them with your hand phone. This is to make sure that you are not going to forget the precious idea which you are going to share with your readers. Now, doing this requires commitment as well. If you don’t have the commitment, you are going to give up doing this. Well, maybe you are going to do this only for the first few days, but after some time, you are going to stop it, and the mental block will happen to you again.

What I do is this, you know, I’ve subscribed to a lot of newsletters or list just to receive e-books, or reports that other internet gurus offer. And I do have a lot of pdf files in my computer. Every time I read them, and if there is any idea that come across my mind, I will write them down into my hand phone, and when it is the time for me to post, I will refer back the ideas and write it to you. Did you know that this article was produced in the same way?

The 6 Steps To Build A Profitable Blog From Scratch

March 26th, 2008

Is it that blogging is something difficult for you? I don’t think so if you are willing to learn. Most of you who are reading this right now, I believe that you already have your own blog. And you know that blog is a great and a MUST (in my opinion) have internet marketing tool that you can leverage on. If you want to earn money online, but you don’t know how to build a website, then blog is the best tool for you. Many people are earning money online with blogs nowadays. I believe you’ve heard about this as well.

If you are reading this right now, only means that you are eager to be successful, you want to make more money, you want to be financially free, you want to achieve great success in your life. If these are your reasons, then I strongly recommend you to start your own blog, NOW!

Build a Profitable Blog

So is blogging difficult? Not really, once you know how it works, it will be easy for you. Here, I’ve listed some of the blogging steps that you must take to build a successful blog. I hope that you can benefit from this article.

1. Identify your interest and narrow down your niche. You have to do this, you have to blog about something that you love, or else, you are going to lose the interest and you will give up faster than you can imagine. Narrow down your niche, the competitions are great out there, always go for more targeted market, so that you can fully conquer your market.

2. Set up your blog with your own domain name and hosting. I myself made this mistake, I did not purchase for my own domain and hosting, and I blog for almost half years. After I’ve learned the lesson, I bought this domain, www.themillionairesecrets.net and I’m using my own paid hosting to host this blog. Remember, without your own domain and hosting, you are building business for others, people can shut down your business anytime.

3. Keep on providing great information for your readers. Now, once you’ve identified where your interest and you’ve set up your own blog, you need to post for at least 15 to 20 articles before you can finally see any results from your blog. Don’t forget this, ‘Content is King’, it is the only reason that people visit your blog, so keep on posting something useful, something that your visitors are looking for, and you will earn the credibility.

4. Run marketing campaign for your blog. This is the same as driving traffic to your blog. No matter what business you are in, you are in marketing business. The same goes for internet business, you have to do the marketing to generate traffic to your blog. Without traffic, nobody will visit your blog, because you did not tell them about your blog’s existent. That is why most bloggers give up, they got no traffic to their blog. So don’t make this mistake, learn how to generate traffic to your blog such as using forum marketing, article marketing, etc.

5. Search engine optimization, SEO. You also need to do SEO for your blog. Many people don’t know what is SEO and most of them think that SEO is something difficult. I’m here to say, it is easy, just that it is going to take times for your blog to come up in the top spot in search engine. That is why you have to learn and apply SEO in your blog from the start. Blogging is not a short-term business, you are going to blog for at least 3 years, so try to learn and do SEO for your blog.

6. The last thing to do is to monetize your blog. Remember your goals? To earn money online, to be an internet millionaire. So it will be fine to monetize from your blog. However, you must make sure that monetization from your blog is the last step to take, because you have to develop your blog first, then only earn money from it. If you focus in earning money from your blog, your readers will know, they can smell it. That is why you have to build up your blog first, create relation and credibility, once you’ve did so, you can then enjoy your hard work. This is the rule of the game.

Just follow the steps given above, and focus in creating value in your blog for your readers. The more value you create, the more money you can make from your blog. Blogging is an on-going process, you must always be ready to learn something new every single day. Remember this, if you want to earn money online from your blog, then you have to keep on learning, and then apply what you’ve learned. Learning without actions are not going to create any results, you know this very well.

Boost Your Blog’s Visibility and Marketing Effort

March 23rd, 2008

Hi, welcome back to The Millionaire Secrets. If you are new here, please consider to subscribe to my blog post with your email. You are going to receive an article which is going to help you to increase your online income everyday. If you have been here before, thank you so much for coming back. I will keep on providing great information which you are looking for.

You know, to create a blog is easy, but to maintain and build a blog, it will be challenging. This is because many people lack the commitment to keep their blog going on. Most people will give up with their blogging journey when they cannot make any money from their blog in the first few months. I don’t want this to happen to you. You are special, because you are reading this, and I want to be different from others. If you want to build a successful blog today, then you cannot run away from marketing and making your blog visible on the net.

Why Visibility and Marketing?

Visibility and marketing are both important factors that will determine how much money you are going to make from your blog. If you have a visible blog, people tend to know more about you, and this is where you build your credibility and branding. As for marketing, you have to market your blog in order to drive traffic to your blog. Generally, the more traffic you generate to your blog, the more likely you can make money from your blog. I used the words ‘generally’ and ‘likely’ because it is not always the case. It doesn’t always mean that if you have a high traffic, you will definitely higher earnings. It is not necessarily this way. The quality of traffic which you generated to your blog counts.

Increase Your Blog's Visibility

Not all traffic are created equally. You should know that if you drive targeted traffic to your blog, you are going to earn more money. And the opposite case will occur if you drive less targeted traffic to your blog. That is why the you have to do your marketing correctly, it is going to make your blog more visible in the internet world. Below are 2 ways that can help you boost your blog’s visibility and marketing effort.

1. Good SEO Practices
You have to do this from time to time, SEO. It is one of the most seek strategy that helps you drive organic traffic to your blog by ranking your blog in a higher search results. However, many people are competing to get a high position in search engine. Here is my advice, just do SEO from time to time, it is a MUST do marketing work, and you are not going to see the results in the first few months. It is a long-term effort which you must be committed in doing. Many people give up because they cannot receive immediate results from SEO.

Here are some ways you can increase your SEO effort for your blog. Always ask for link exchange, either through text-link exchange or review exchange, both of them work great. Besides that, take the time to learn about using trackbacks, pingbacks, good linking practices and basic SEO techniques. You can read more about SEO here, How to Optimize Your Keywords and Getting Started With Link Strategy.

2. Track Your Results
Keep track of your sales, inbound links, citations by using tools like adtrackers, Blogpulse and Marketleap. Also offer your readers incentives to participate in surveys. This information is very valuable because it will help you understand what your market needs and how to give it to them. It will also help you understand how much your blogging is helping your marketing efforts so you can tweak your methods and get more out of them.

Tracking of where your links come from, where is the main source of your traffic, sales, etc are very important. This is because if you know where exactly they come from, you can then take further steps and improve them. For example, if most of your traffic is coming from article marketing than forum marketing, then you can consider to abandon forum marketing, instead, focus in article marketing. This way, you are going to put more time into article marketing, which is going to drive you even more traffic than before.

I believe that you can see the big picture now. Blogging is not just about posting, there are a lot of works you have to put your effort and time in. This is how your blog can grow, and transform into a successful blog just like many others out there. So are you committed to do all these? If it doesn’t make you any money, are you willing to keep going on and keep on providing what people are looking for? Will you still continue putting your effort in building your blog? If your answer is a YES, then congratulations, you are already 70% ahead of others.

The 3 Reasons People Visit Your Blog

March 22nd, 2008

I believe that I have already posted a lot of articles regarding blogging tips, how you can improve your blogs, earn money from your blogs and many more. If you are looking for all these information, then you have come to the right place. Often visit The Millionaire Secrets, I believe that you will find all the content and information here are very useful in your life especially if you are looking for success, blogging tips, earn money online and motivations.

As for today, I’m going to tell you the 3 reasons that why people visit your blog. You know, if you want to set up a successful blog, then you have to drive traffic to your blog, without traffic and visitors, your blog will be a ghost town. Did you actually think about this question, “Why there people are visiting my blog?”. Have you ever think of it before? Did you actually know that by knowing the reasons that people visit your blog, you can increase your traffic? For me, there are only 3 reasons that attract people to visit your blog. And they are:

1. Your Content
This is the most important factor of all. Content is going to determine your blog’s value. The more valuable content you have in your blog, the better readership you are going to gain. The number reason people online and surf the net is because they are looking for information. No matter what information it is, it must be something they have interested or they need. This is where the content in your blog comes in. You have to provide good content for people. Take the example of yourself, are you going to visit a website which is full of ads, but don’t have any content in it? I bet you know you won’t right? The same concept applies for everyone.

Therefore, focus in building quality content which your visitors want to. Great content always attract readership. The first time someone visits your blog, and if that person find your article interesting, he or she will come back for more. In the opposite, if your did not provide what people are looking for, they will leave and never come back again. Blog is a website which you can update every moment, so you must make use of this feature and keep on providing great information.

2. Entertainment
Yes, people are looking for entertainment from your blog. This is the main reason why an entertainment blog which talks about movie reviews or comics are more popular than a blog which talks about investing in the stock market. People are looking for happiness every moment in their life. People likes something that is funny and something that can make them feel joyful. No wonder the entertainment industry is a very, very profitable huge market.

3. People Want to Know You Better
This is another reason people visit your blog. If you are John Chow or Yaro Starak, I’m sure that a lot of people will visit your blog because people want to know more about you. One of the reasons that blog was created is because of this, to expose yourself to the world. Did you still remember what blog was named before it gets popular? “Online-journal”, the name already proves that a blog is an online diary, which is used to expose yourself and your story to the online world.

These are the 3 reasons that people visit your blog. Always remember this, you have to make your blog as a source of information in your industry or market. Your readers will start looking to you as a resource of news and opinions about the industry you represent and that builds your brand equity. When we talk about driving traffic to your blog, we cannot run away from this word, ‘marketing’. Everything is about marketing if you want to earn money online, even if it is through your blog.

Don’t Do Selling In Your Blog

March 18th, 2008

This is what most people will do, especially for new bloggers. They thought that their blog is a sales letter, and they post a lot about affiliate products and asking people to buy from them. No, this is not the right way of earning money from your blog. I know that you want to earn money online with your blog, but the right way is, if you are a new blogger, then don’t sell! This is the right way. I said so because if you keep doing all these selling instead of building up your blog, do you really think that your visitors will buy from you? Absolutely no, people don’t like sales pitch. I’ve also seen some blog that keep on promoting their affiliate products, but end up getting no sales. I’ve also seen some bloggers who truly wanted to help their readers, they recommend great affiliate products that would solve the readers’ problems, and guess what, they made a lot of sales.

Focus In Building Up Your Blog
This is exactly what you should do before you start profiting from your blog. What I mean by building up your blog is this, you have to write pillar articles that people are looking for. Pillar articles are great informative content which visitors like to read, they are going to help you build up the foundation of your blog. This is also the number one reason that visitors visit your blog, they are looking for the information that your blog is providing. Just imagine that people visit your blog, but you just have one interesting article about your market, do you expect your visitors to come back and read for more? Therefore, increase your blog’s stickiness by writing more pillar articles, provide what people are looking for.

Pre-sell Instead of Selling
I told you that if you are new in blogs, then you should not sell. This is what you should do, pre-selling instead of direct selling. If you are selling in a direct way to the visitors who come to your blog, you are turning your blog into a sale pitch. Since you want to earn money online with your blog, you can just pre-sell your visitors. Recommend them with great affiliate products which will truly help them in solving their problems. You have to do it in a different way, just like after you watch a movie, you will recommend it to your friends. This is the real arts of selling. Often, pre-selling will perform much better than simply selling directly.

Focus In Sharing
You should know that blogs can be a very powerful tool in marketing, however, it is only if you use it correctly. As an internet marketer, you should concentrate in sharing more than selling. Share what your knowledge and experience are great ways to create more value for your readers. Don’t be afraid even if you have to share your ‘secrets’ to earn money online. This is because of all 100 people who read your so-called ‘secrets’, maybe only 5 of them will take actions and do as you told. Hence, don’t worry about competition, just create more value for your readers. Give and you shall receive.

Spend Time Learning The Basics of Blogging

March 14th, 2008

If you are committed in earning money online using your blogs, then you really have to spend some time learn about the basics of blogging. For most newbie, this is what I found, they don’t even know how a blog works. All they do know is that they can make extra income from their blog. Most bloggers who have this same desire of wanted to earn money online will insert Adsense into their blog right after they publish their first post. Frankly, are you doing this?

Basics of Blogging

I’m not saying that you should not earn money from your blog, but you have to know at least how blogging works, what are the basics of blogging first before you actually earn money from it. Just think about this, if you are going to invest in the stock market, will you spend your time doing all the research before you invest your money into it? I’m sure you will. It is the same in blogging, you have to spend at least a little time into learning the basics of blogging. For example, you can learn about what to post, how to build pillar articles that strengthen your blog, how to join blogging communities and how you can benefit from them, etc.

The Commitment Towards Blogging
Many people did not take blogging seriously, this is because for them, blogging is just like something not really that important in the sense of making money. They may think it this way, even if they did not make any money from their blogs, it will be fine for them, because they are using Blogger, they did not spend any money on it. However, if you are in the stock market, it will be different, because it is about investing and stocks. This is what separate a successful blogger and an ordinary blogger. If you want to build up a successful blog, you have to be committed in it.

You have to be serious in with your blog, it is your business. If you have decided to publish at least one post everyday, then stick to it, take constant action in it. Decide how much time you are going to put into your blog before you start your blog. And of course, learning the basics of blogging, just like the title. If you don’t know how, then just surf the net for blogging information, and I believe that you will find a lot of great information. You can even find them here, in The Millionaire Secrets. If you want to, you can also purchase some blogging tutorials that help you to develop your blog.

When you know about the basics of blogging, it will become easier to focus on your goals and save time in the actual process of blogging. This is the same like why some of the internet gurus can earn $100,000 in just 3 days or sort, it is because they already know how it works, and they have the knowledge to make it happen. That is why constant learning is something a must in the world of earning money online. Just like for some gurus, they make $10,000 in less than 24 hours, and how is that possible? Do you really think that they just work for 24 hours, and the money flow automatically to them?

No, not at all. The truth is that they have spent years and years to build their list, build their brand, build their credibility and more. This is what you cannot see. It is not about instant profits, it is all about hard work and determination. Once you a list of let’s say 10,000 subscribers, and you have build a good relationship with them. When you promote something to them, you just need to email them, and if 5% of them buy from you, that will be a lot. This is the real secret behind earning money online. So I hope that you understand about what I wanted to tell you, it is about basics, there are no secrets to success, no shortcut, it is about taking constant massive actions and commitment. The same goes to blogging. Therefore, start by learning the basics of blogging.

Choose The Right Topic For Your Blog

March 11th, 2008

If you have a blog today, have you ever thought that the topics which you choose for blogging is suitable? Is your topic focus enough? Can you smaller your topic scope so that it will be easier for you to dominate your market and ranked high in search engine? Well, you have to ask yourself this question, I don’t know where your interest lies. If you want to create a solid and profitable blog, the first thing is your blog topics must be correct. Frankly, I don’t know what do you think about The Millionaire Secrets, what I can tell you here is that I myself have thought about splitting this blog into two. This is because all the articles you can find here are not focus enough.

Blogging Topics

In this blog, I write about success, self-improvement and motivation topics which can be group under one blog. Another topic which I write is about earning money online and blogging tips. That is why I’m considering about wanting to split this blog into two. In fact, if I want to, I can further split this topics into earning money online and blogging tips, which total up makes me having 3 blogs at the same time. However, if I do so, I won’t be able to have so much time to post everyday in each blog. Maybe you can give me your opinion here? Should I split this blog?

So you see, take The Millionaire Secrets as example, you definitely should choose a right blogging topic for your blog. If your topic is too big, it will be impossible for you to dominate your market. Of course, if the reason you blog is just for the sake of it or maybe you just want to occupy your free time, then choosing the right blogging topic will not be a problem for you. What I’m talking here is how to create a highly successful blog just like Entrepreneur’s Journey, Problogger and JohnChow, the top 3 blogs which I like the most (You can read this post, My Top 3 Recommended Successful Blogs).

Don’t Feel Shame On Your Blog
What if you don’t have any knowledge about the topics that you want to blog about? You can then blog about your learning process, don’t feel shame about your blog, don’t feel shy because you are just a beginner. Everyone starts from the ground, everyone has their first time. Even Bill Gates has his first time learning about software. So there is nothing to be shy about. And always remember this, this is a blog, your blog, you can talk about anything you like. I know that not everyone will agree with you, but all you need to do is just to serve those who agree with you.

Your experience in topic might give something insightful for other people even though you are just a beginner. Even I myself am still learning about internet marketing and how to earn money online. Therefore, just focus in your blog topic, and talk about it. The main point here is focus. If you are one of my blog’s loyal readers, you will know that I’m still a learner here. I did receive quite a number of emails asking me about blogging related topics and how to earn money online, and I help my readers with the best I can. Now, if you have any questions, you need any advice, maybe I can help, just leave your comments or contact me here. I’m not a pro, but still I will give my best to help you.

Profitable Blog Topics?
If you are serious about your blogging business, then you should also ask this question before you start choosing your blog’s topic, is your blog topic profitable? How can you know whether the topic that you choose is a profitable topic? It is very simple, just perform some search in search engines like Google and Yahoo, and if there are ads on the left side of Google, it means that it is a profitable market. This is because people are actually spending money to put up their ads in the target market which you search for. Another thing is that you can go to your local bookstore and find any related magazines or books related to your market.

For me, any topic will be fine, since it is a blog, you can implement multiple money making strategies in your blog, hence, choosing a profitable market will not be a main problem for you. The most challenging part is to stick long enough with your blog until you make your first $1,000 from it. Many people give up before this, and I hope you are not one of them.
