The Number One Key To Success You Must Have

February 24th, 2010

If you want to be successful, you must have this key… DESIRE!

If you don’t have the desire to strive for the better, to improve, to achieve, to attain, to make your goals come true, you will never be able to producing what you want in your life.

Desire is what keeps you going. Desire is what that is telling you “this is the right thing to do”. Desire is the motivation that makes you hot when you’re feeling down. Desire is the key to your ultimate success.

Do you know most people are living an average life? It is simply because they don’t have the desire to achieve much more.

A desire is a clear destination of where you want to go. If you don’t know where you want to go, you’ll end up nowhere. And desire is able to give you the clear direction and motivation to go on.

A desire is not the same as a burning desire.

Some people have the desire to be rich, but still, they are not rich. Why?

The answer is obvious. They do have the desire to be rich, but it is not a MUST for them. It is not their burning desire.

When you make something a MUST achieve for you, you’ll absolutely get it.

Let me give you a clear example of what I mean by a burning desire…

If you don’t know how to swim and I push you into the swimming pool where the water is above your head, what will you do? You will struggle to keep your head above water. If there’s someone near you at that moment, you’ll grab him or her so that you can survive.

This is the burning desire that I’m referring to. And this is exactly what most people lack. Thus, this is the number one reason that makes most people live an average life.

Without a strong desire, you’ll never do whatever it takes to achieve it. And success requires you to be 100% committed and determined.

And the number one way to be 100% committed and determined is to have a burning desire about what you want.

If you’re running your own business, do you willing to spend your time, from early in the morning until late at night just to improve your business?

Or do you just feel tired, you want to start at 9am and go back home at 5pm? Think of it for yourself right now.

Those who are willing to sacrifice for their dreams and their goals, they will somehow achieve what they want. On the other hand, those who are not committed and don’t have the burning desire, they will never do it because it is not a MUST for them.

Some people MUST success in their lives while some people just WISH to succeed in their lives. Both categories desire for the same thing, but only one of them is going to complete their mission.

So which category do you fit in?

5 Super Tips How To Handle Criticism

February 23rd, 2010

If you are human, you’ll have to learn how to handle criticism.

No matter who you are, the president, a doctor, a teacher, a student, a salesman, an athlete, etc., you’ll come across criticism in your life.

You should know that if you want to be successful in your life, you must not criticize others. However, even if you don’t criticize others, others might criticize you.

Thus, you need to learn how to handle criticism in order to be productive in your life. Don’t be discourage when others say that you’re stupid. Or don’t be angry at it because if anger fills in your head, all you do is counter.

So here are 5 super tips that I think can help you handle criticism in your life…

1. Keep An Open Mind

You have to understand that this is something very common. When your boss criticize your work, it is normal. Everyone has been criticized by others in their lives.

Like I mentioned above, no matter who you are in this world, you will get criticized by others. You just cannot expect everyone to think just like you.

Even Superman is criticize by others because some people think that he is wearing his underwear on the outside, haha!

So just keep an open mind about it.

2. Enjoy It

Yes, you have to enjoy it. When others are criticizing you, just smile and listen. Even if they may think that you’re out of your mind and crazy, just let them be. Even better, you may break their pattern and help to turn the situation around.

If you think about it properly, why do people criticize you in the first place? It is because they care about you. If they don’t care about you, they won’t criticize you.

It is just that the way they express themselves are inappropriate.

Thus, just enjoy it when people criticize you.

3. Distinguish Between Feedback And Insult

People are not criticizing you most of the time. You have to understand and know to differentiate feedback from insult.

Usually, people will give you feedback, but because you have been conditioned in such a way that you think you are right, so you’ll treat their feedback as criticism or insult.

Just like if you believe now is the right time to invest in the stock market but your friends don’t think so. What you need to do then is just treat their opinion as feedback, find out more information about what they have told you, do research and validate if what they told you is correct.

Feedback is what will help you to get forward in your life, and you need feedback to improve and achieve your goals.

4. Consider The Source

Just consider the source when someone criticize you. If someone says that you look ugly, don’t get discourage by him or her. Just consider the source. Is the source something qualify to say so?

For example, if your parents are telling you that investing is risky, will you listen to them? Do you think they qualify to say so? Yes if they are great investor. No if they don’t do any investment.

When you consult a doctor and the doctor prescribe you the medicine, do you believe in him? Will you take the medicine? Chances are, most of us do, because it is the doctor who said so. The source is a qualify source?

If you go to a pet store and a parrot yells at you, “you’re ugly and stupid!” What will you do? Feel sad about it? Feel angry and would like to kill that parrot? Or will you think, “wow! This is a cool parrot! However, I don’t believe in what you said because you’re just a parrot”?

Can you see it now? Consider the source when someone criticize you.

5. Just Let It Slide

This is the easiest tips of all. When you’re down, focus on something that will make you happy. Just like when you’re feeling stressed, take a walk in the garden, do something else that will take away your attention from the criticism and you’ll feel better.

Don’t think about the criticism, instead, think about something else. And don’t tell your mind to not think about it. This is because when you do so, you’ll focus your thought on it.

Just like if I tell you don’t think about the color red, what will come into your mind? The color red!

So what you have to do is to focus on some other things. Divert your attention to other stuff so that you’ll forget about it and feel better after you come back for it.

These are the 5 super tips how to handle criticism. I hope these are going to help you in your life. What do you think about these super tips? Let me know in the comment section.

How To Develop Passion For Success

February 22nd, 2010

Passion For SuccessAs you know, passion is the single most important key to success. If you want to be successful in your business, you’ve got to love your business, you’ve got love to run it, marketing it, manage it and so on. Without passion, nothing you do is going to bring amazing results.

There are a lot of successful people out there, everyone of them possess this key, they are passionate in what they do. Michael Jordan loves basketball, Tiger Woods loves  golf, Donald Trump has great passion in real-estate and making deals, Bill Gates loves software and Warren Buffett has intense passion in the stock market.

So you see, every of the successful people love what they do and that is why they can create amazing results in their field. The moment you are doing something that you love, it is not working for you anymore, instead, it is enjoying.

You’ll feel that you’ve the drive and motivation that can keep you going all the time. Even if it is late at night, but when you talk about something that you love, you’ll feel energetic about it.

And the key point is this, when you do something passionately, with enthusiasm, you’ll achieve what you want.

You must have been to school before don’t you? Why in some classes you’ll fall asleep? Is it because you don’t like to study or you hate the subject? What if I tell you that it is because of the teacher? It is because the teacher is teaching unenthusiastically?

Every subject that you learned in school can be interesting, if the teacher knows how to teach enthusiastically. This is why sometimes you’ll feel boring and wanted to sleep during some classes, while in some other classes, you feel 100% awake and you concentrate during the class.

With that means, no matter what you do, in order to ‘activate’ others, to get them to be enthusiastic, you must first be enthusiastic yourself. The word ‘activate’ here means motivate, drive and inspire.

For example, when you come across a salesman who is selling a pen to you, will you buy? Well, it depends. If the salesman talks to you with lousy voice where he has no interest in buying that pen himself, do you think he’ll convince you to buy? Of course not. However, if the salesman is passionate and very enthusiastic in promoting the pen to you, most probably you’ll get affected by the positive energy and eventually you buy the pen.

The enthusiastic salesman need never worry about unenthusiastic buyers. The enthusiastic teacher needs never worry about disinterested students. The activated minister need never be distressed by a sleepy congregation.

Read this interesting post now: The Millionaire Habit #5 – Love What You Do

So now you know that if you want to be successful, you’ll need to love to succeed. The question now is, how can you develop the passion?

Below are 3 simple ways how you can develop the power of enthusiasm:

1. Dig It Deeper

Make this little test. Think of two things in which you have little or no interest – maybe cards, certain kinds of music, a sport, etc. Now ask yourself “How much do I really know about these things?” Odds are 100 to 1 that your answer is “Not much”.

Years ago I don’t have any passion with blogging. Until one day a friend of mine told me what I can accomplish with blogs. Really, now I’ve dug into it, I find it interesting.

To get enthusiastic, learn more about the thing you are not enthusiastic about. Chances are you are quite uninterested about bumble bees. But if you study bumble bees, find out what good they do, how they relate to other bees, how they reproduce, where they live in winter… If you find out all you can about bumble bees, you’ll soon find yourself really interested in bumble bees.

Today, millions of people invest in corporate securities, but there are many millions more who have no interest at all in the stock market. Why is this so? This is simply because they are people who have not familiarized themselves with what the stock market is all about, how it operates, the day-to-day romance of a business.

So dig deeper and you’ll develop enthusiasm. Put this principle to work next time you must do something you don’t want to do. Just dig deeper and you’ll dig up interest.

2. Give It A Life

Enthusiasm or lack of it, shows through in everything you say and do. Life up your handshake. When you shake your hand, make your handclasp and say “I’m glad to know you”. A conservative, mouse-like handshake is worse than no handshake at all.

Try to go out there and shake your hand with successful people. You’ll find that all their handshakes are firm and fill with passion.

It is just like when you smile, give it a life, life up your smile. Nobody likes an artificial, pasted-on, rubbery smile. People go along with the fellow who believes what he says. Say with life. Put vitality into your speaking. Whether you are talking to a garden club, a prospect, or your children, put enthusiasm behind what you say.

A sermon delivered enthusiastically may be remembered for months, even years. But a sermon delivered without enthusiasms will be mostly forgotten in 167 hours before the next Sunday rolls around.

Just try this right now. Say out loud with force and vigor, “I feel great today!” Now, don’t you actually feel better than you did before you said it? Make yourself alive all over.

3. Broadcast Good News

When someone burst in and suddenly said, “I’ve got good news!” Immediately you’ll feel energetic and he will get 100% of your attention. Good news does more than get attention, good news pleases people. Good news develop enthusiasm as well.

Just because there are more broadcasters of bad news than there are broadcasters of good news, don’t be misled. No one ever won a friend, no one ever made money, no one ever accomplished anything by broadcasting bad news. Transmit good news to your family, tell them the good that happened today, recall the amusing, pleasant things you experienced and let the unpleasant things stay buried.

It’s pointless to pass on the bad. It only makes your family worry, makes them nervous. Bring home some sunlight everyday. Ever notice how seldom children complain about the weather? They take hot weather in stride until the negative news corps educate them to be conscious of unpleasant temperatures.

Be an “I-feel-great” person all the time. Just say “I feel great” at every possible opportunity and you’ll feel better. When you tell people you are awful, you’ll feel awful eventually. Transmit good news to the people you work with, give them encouragement, compliment them at every opportunity, tell them positive things the company is doing and listen to their problems.

Sometimes when you are down or you are facing difficulties, you can still broadcast it as good news. This is because you can choose how you should respond in what had happened on you. Do you still remember the formula, Event + Response = Outcome?

These are the 3 simple ways how you can develop passion in your life. Remember, without passion, you’ll never be able to create amazing results. And if you want to develop the intense passion, just follow these 3 simple ways.

How To Program Yourself For Total Success

February 20th, 2010

Do you want to learn how to program yourself for total success?

Of course you do! Everyone wants to be successful, but most of them fail to do it. So how can you do it?

This is exactly what you are going to discover in today’s article.

Have you ever heard of the phrase, “the rich is getting richer while the poor is getting poorer”?

It is the same if you want to be successful.

Successful people are getting more and more successful each day. They know what they want, they create the results they want and they produce even more outstanding results in their lives.

Unfortunately, average people will stay average. Why?

Before I tell you the reason, let us take a look at the ultimate success formula…

The ultimate success formula is simple.

First, you need to know exactly what you want to accomplish. Next, you need to create a plan of how to achieve it. And after that, you take consistent action to move toward your goal.

If you are not getting the results you want, simply change your plan and take action again until you achieve what you really want.

This is the guaranteed formula that will help you in achieving whatever you want in your life.

The catch is this, successful people believe that they are able to produce the results they want. Hence, they put in full commitment into creating a plan and taking consistent action.

And whenever they produce the results they want, they feel even better. They build their confidence and strengthen their beliefs that they can do it.

Therefore, successful people are able to produce better results from time to time. They build their level of confidence and they strengthen their belief system after they produce some results that they want.

What about the average people?

Average people start with low level of confidence and they don’t have a strong belief system. They don’t really believe that it is possible for them to achieve what they want.

Guess what happened? They don’t put in their full commitment into their dreams and goals. As a result, they don’t produce the results they want.

And thus, this makes them feel even worse because what they have just done did not work. They lose their confidence and they strengthen the belief that they are not going to make it.

This is what causing the rich is getting richer while the poor is getting poorer.

Do you understand it right now? Can you see the difference between successful people and average people?

Program Yourself For Total Success

So how can you program yourself for total success?

The answer is simple, in the beginning stage, set smaller and achievable goals for yourself so that you can achieve most of them.

And if you achieve them, they will help you to boost your confidence, strengthen your belief system and build momentum to keep you going.

I’m not saying that you should dream small. In fact, you should dream big. However, in the beginning of your journey, you may want to build your personal power and nurture it into a giant that can help you to achieve anything you want in your life.

Let me give you an example here…

If you just started a small business and you set your goal as to earn $100,000 in the first 3 months, what do you think is going to happen when you fail to achieve it?

It will demotivate you. Your confidence will crumble and you will create beliefs that you do not want to have such as “making $100,000 in 3 months is impossible or difficult”.

On the other hand, if you set your goal as to earn $5,000 in the first 3 months, do you think you’re most likely going to achieve it?

Of course you will achieve it. And if you achieve your goal, what do you think is going to happen to you? Do you think you will feel more confidence? Do you think you will build the momentum to go for better and higher goals? The answer is obvious.

Once you have achieved your small goal, start to set bigger and higher goals for yourself.

The key is to slowly increase your expectation level and build your personal power at the front.

This is what truly separates successful people from ordinary people.

Success Lessons From Brian Tracy

February 13th, 2010

Lately when I was browsing YouTube, I came across with this video clip…

Although it is  short video, but the lesson from this success coach is a great one. Perhaps, we all should learn from Brian Tracy if we want to be successful.

Success Principle #1 – Are You Taking 100% Responsibility For Your Life?

February 11th, 2010

Are you taking 100% responsibility for your life?

If you want to be successful, this is the most important success principle that you must learn and apply into your life.

Most people are not having what they want in their lives and they are living in mediocrity simply because they are not taking the responsibility for their lives.

Think about it, do you take 100% responsibility for your life?

Do you make any blame or give any excuse in your life?

Chances are, most people will either give excuse or blame other things.

In his book, The Success Principles, Jack Canfield says it very it is you who create your life.

Why is this success principle so important?

This is because if you believe that you are responsible for your life, that means you are creating the results you are getting. And if you are the one who is creating the results, you can always create or un-create them at will.

This clearly explains why successful people are able to produce amazing results in their lives while the ordinary people are just getting by.

Always remember this, never blame, never give excuse and take 100% responsibility for your life from now on.

Do you still remember the formula Event + Response = Outcome?

Let me show you the examples used in this Jack’s book…

Event : You’re given a $400 bonus

Response : You spend it on a night in the town

Outcome : You’re broke

————————————————————

Event : You’re given a $400 bonus

Response : You invest it into the mutual fund

Outcome : You have an increase net worth

Can you see the difference now? You cannot control the event, but you can always control your response to get the outcome that you want.

People don’t take responsibility for their lives because it is less risky in the short-term. However, over the long-term, the event may be disastrous.

You work late every night. you come home tired and burned out. You eat dinner in a coma and then sit down in front of the television to watch a baseball game. You’re too tired and stressed out to do anything else – like go for a walk or play with the kids. This goes on for years. Your wife asks you to talk to her. You say, “later!” Three years later, you come home to an empty house and a note she has left you and taken the kids.

Can you see it? You’re the one who created the outcomes in your life.

If you don’t spend time to train the dog, they will go wild and out of control. Guess what, you’re responsible for this.

Whenever you start to take 100% responsibility for your life, you can create the results you want and slowly, you will be living the life you want and making your dreams come true.

The Power Of Jack Canfield’s Success Principles

There was a time when Sir Jack Canfield was in a television show in Dallas, Texas, he made a claim that if people who would use the principles he taught, they could double their time and double their time off in 2 years.

And guess what, the woman who was interviewing Jack that time was skeptical about his bold claimed.

So Jack told the woman if she used his principles and techniques for 2 years and she did not double her income and double her time off, he would come back to the show and give the woman $1,000.

On the other hand, if the principles and techniques work, she had to ask him back and tell her viewers that it works.

What do you think had happened?

9 months later, Jack met the woman at National Speakers Association convention in Orlando, Florida. And that woman told him that she did not only doubled her income but she had also moved to a bigger station with a substantial pay increase, had started a public speaking career, and had already finished and sold a book, all in 9 short months!

What People Are Saying About The Success Principles

Whether you need just a gentle nudge or a hefty shove to climb the ladder of success, Jack Canfield says he’s the man to help you. Who am I to argue with the creator of the now iconic “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series? In addition to his record breaking series, Canfield lists some of America’s top corporations as clients, has a syndicated radio show and newspaper column. The ultimate? He’s been anointed by Oprah. Here’s a man who knows success, and he insists that all of us can, too.

Canfield’s steps for reaching the mountaintop? Take total charge of your life, decide exactly what you want and go for it, each day improve your knowledge and skills, manage time (there’s just so much, you know), and don’t settle for second best.

In addition, find someone who can help you achieve your goals, confront and get rid of what isn’t working for you, focus on yourself as a unique individual, don’t let others dictate who you are, trust yourself, and learn how to react to both adversity and triumph.

Listening to this audio you find yourself encouraged and energized. Who knows, we may surprise ourselves!

- Gail Cooke

I have read many self help books, and opening this book, and reading the 6 pages of testimonials and quotes, many from renowned authors or business people forms the impression that this book is out of the ordinary.

This book is a great reference and an excellent teaching manual for either a relentless self improver, or aspiring life coach. In the first 20 pages alone is major information about discovering your life purpose. Everything else flows from having a major definite purpose.

Taking 100% responsibility for what happens in your life, as opposed to blaming is also a very powerful concept.

I am also really liking the formula E + R =O. Event + response = Outcome. So, if you don’t like the outcome, change the response, or you will keep getting similar outcomes.

All these concepts are in the early part of the book, so you can probably imagine how much benefit can be derived from the remainder of this amazing book. More recently, I acquired the audio version of this book, which is narrated by Jack Canfield. If you like the book, you’ll like this too.

- L. Power “nlp trainer”

This book lit a fire under me. I’m only halfway through it, but I’m taking a look at what I really want in my life, making bi-weekly lists of goals, and finding I’m actually meeting them. Basically, this book is helping me to mentally settle down and take a good hard look at my life and where I want to be. It’s helping me see that anything is possible if I’m willing to believe and work for it. I highly recommend this book to anyone who’s feeling lost right now — not sure where to go in life but not being happy where you are now.

- Jennifer Layton “Indie Writer”

So do you think Jack’s principles and techniques are going to help you in achieving what you want?

I’ll leave this question for you to think about it.

What I think is, the principles will work for you if you work the principles. Knowledge itself is just a form of potential power. The real power is in applying the knowledge that you know.

Success Tips To Learn From Geese

February 9th, 2010

Yes, you read that right, we should learn from the geese if we want to be successful in our lives.

It is incredible when you look at the nature. There are a lot that you can learn from the nature. Look at the tress, those tress that have gone through rain and sunshine grow stronger each day.

On the other hand, those that you keep in your garden will not grow as strong as those in the forest. It is about survival.

Look at the snail moving slowly on the floor. No matter how slow it is, it still keeps on going toward its direction. Even snail knows something about persistence.

As for now, look at the geese. What do you think you can learn from these birds?

Lesson #1

As each goose flaps its wings it creates an “uplift” for the birds that follow. By flying in a “V” formation, the whole flock adds 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew alone.

What does this tell you? Even the geese know that if they want to achieve much more and fly farther, they will have to depend on each other.

The same goes for you. If you want to achieve your dreams and goals faster and with less effort, you must get associated with the same group of people who have the same dreams.

When you are in the group that you desire, you can motivate each other and discuss about the topic each of you are interested in.

Successful people often network with other successful people. This is simply because they know that they have to associate with the same mind so that they can go farther by leveraging and the help and support from others.

Lesson #2

When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front of it.

Everybody needs help. You cannot succeed alone. Even those who claimed to be a self-made millionaire, they have their own support team.

If you say that you succeed alone without the help from anybody, think about it again. Who gives you clothes, protection and food when you still depend on your parents? Who gives you love and support? Do you have any friends? What about your customers? Your colleagues? Or even your boss? What about the higher power?

Even the geese know to depend on the help from others when they’re feeling tired.

Lesson #3

When the lead goose tires, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies to the point position.

This is teamwork and smart work. You need to leverage on others to succeed in your life. When you’re tired, ask others to do it for you.

Delegation and outsource are two important keys that can help you grow your business bigger. Many people are afraid to delegate their work. These people will never improve. You simply cannot do everything by your own.

If you think you are the only one that is suitable for the job, you will never free up your time and as a result, you will never be able to manage other work properly.

Lesson #4

The geese flying in formation honk to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.

When the geese fly over your head, it is a beautiful scenery but you may never notice that they are honking on the air. Sounds travel upward and thus, it is hard for you to notice their honking.

They encourage each other. When you are traveling in group, you will feel more fun and more encouraging. Even the geese know about this concept.

Lesson #5

When a goose gets sick, wounded, or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to help and protect it. They stay with it until it dies or is able to fly again. Then, they launch out with another formation or catch up with the flock.

Help others to achieve what they want and they will help you in return. If you want to be rich, then create value to help others to make others rich, and in return, they will make you rich.

When you are facing difficult times, hold on to each other and you can overcome any obstacle that is blocking you.

Interesting lessons to be learned from the geese. What do you think about this? Tell me your opinion in the comment section.

How To Stay Focused With Your Goals All The Time

February 6th, 2010

Goal setting is indeed one of the most powerful techniques that everyone can use to help them achieve their dreams in their lives.

The main problem most people face with goal setting is that they cannot stay focused with their goals all the time.

In fact, one of the reasons goal setting works wonderfully is because it helps people to stay focused in their daily lives. Setting a goal will lead you and direct you toward the place you want to end up.

For example, when someone set a goal to lose 10 pounds, he will constantly remind himself about this mission. And as a result, it will direct that person into getting the results that he wants.

For instance, he will try to eat less whenever he thinks about his goal. Or maybe he will exercise every morning once he thought about his mission.

As for those who don’t have any goal, they will never bother about it. This is what separates successful people and super achiever from ordinary people.

Unfortunately, you need to stay focused with your goals to do this. If you are not focused in your goals, you will be just like ordinary people. You set your goals today and forget about them tomorrow.

So the key to successful goal setting is to stay focused in your goals until you conditioned them into your subconscious mind so that you’ll think about your goals automatically without having to remind yourself about it.

Here are a few tips that can help you with this…

1. Use Affirmation

Yes, this is an easy method that can help you to stay focused in your goals. Affirm your goals a few times a day will turn you on and motivate you into taking action.

However, not everyone will do this because they will forget to do it just like they forget about their goals.

What you can do is to write down your affirmations on a card and put it inside your pocket. Whenever you feel it in your pocket or whenever you touch it when you put your hands into your pocket, you will instantly recall about your affirmation, and hence know what your goals are.

2. Write Down Your Goals

Do you know why you have to write down your goals on a piece of paper right now? The more tangible your goals, the easier you are going to focus on them.

And if you can better focus on your goals, the more likely you are going to achieve them.

This is why every goal setting tips require you to write down what you want to accomplish in your life.

So write down your goals on a piece of paper and try to put it somewhere you can see often. You can put the paper on your table, paste it on your cupboard, or frame it and hang it on the wall.

3. Create A Vision Board

There are a few cases where people use this technique marvelously. What a vision board will do for you is just like the paper that you use to write down your goals. Just that a vision board is a better and more creative way of doing it.

You can cut down any pictures related to your goals or which you think can inspire you and paste them on a board. If your goal is to buy a Rolex gold watch, cut down the pictures from any magazine and paste it on the board.

Thus, whenever you see that board, you will remind yourself about your goals. As simple as this.

4. There Are Many Ways To Do This, Be Creative!

Yes, there are many ways how you can accomplish this, you just have to be creative and makes your goals as tangible as possible.

You can also tell all your friends about your goals and so whenever you see their faces, you will get reminded. Or sometimes your friends will ask you about your goals, and that will definitely help you in your journey.

I hope this post today is going to be great help for you. If you have any other ideas about how to stay focused with goals all the time, let me hear you in the comment section.

3 Simple Tips How To Deal With Failure

February 3rd, 2010

Failure, one of the most feared topics by people. If you’re having difficulty in dealing with failure, this will be the perfect post for you.

When the feeling of failing struck you, ask yourself this question, “what am I afraid of, the failure or the fear of failing?”

“I’ll do what I fear and fear will disappear” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

Understand this, people experience the fear of failure because it is what is happening in their mind. The failure itself is not fatal. It is the fear of failure that causes most people to fail.

Think about it, before you actually do something, you afraid that you’re going to fail. This shows that it is your fear, your thinking, your feeling and your emotion that is creating the feeling of fear.

Or maybe after you have tried something else and you failed. Now, you developed the fear of failing and you don’t dare to take any actions anymore. The same thing is happening here.

It is the fear, the feeling and your thinking that is causing you to feel the fear, not the event or the ‘failure’.

Whenever you understand this, you can better handle the fear because it is something that you created by yourself. The fear is created in your mind and your thoughts.

Therefore, what you need to do in order to deal with it, is to deal with yourself, your mind and your thoughts.

Take the example that you are afraid of public speaking, but deep down in your mind, you got a burning desire to be an inspirational speaker.

Every time when you face the crowd, you will freeze and start shivering. Well, now you have only two choices, either you give up to be your favorite inspirational speaker and running away, or you can choose to conquer your fear.

But let me tell you one thing, nobody will remember how worse you are once you’ve succeed. People will only think of your good thing, trust me.

Think about Thomas Edison, he failed more than thousand times, but when you ask someone about Thomas Edison, people will only told you that he is a great inventor.

If the worst were to happen, could he live with it?

Oh well, sure you can live with it. Take it as you’re making jokes in front of the public. You won’t get killed you won’t die if the worst were to happen. So start thinking clearly, and you will banish the fear feeling.

If the public laugh at you and think that you’re an idiot, or if you did get stucked and forgot what you supposed to say, will you lose anything?

Not really, maybe your pride will hurt a little, but you’re not going to lose anything permanently.

Maybe you will lose a little self-esteem temporarily, but if you really think of it clearly, if you have conquer the feeling of fear, you’re actually building up your self-esteem!

What is the best possible outcome?

For the case here, you could inspire thousands of people, you could motivates people to a better life. You could then hone your skill and grow more self-confident and therefore speaks more convincingly in the future.
