What Success Really Means To You

The Difference Between Successful People and Unsuccessful PeopleI know that you want to be successful, but what success really means to you? What do you really want anyway? Do you want to have big cars, fast cars, plenty of money that you can spend without thinking how much it is going to cost you? Do you want to have respect from your children, you want to have great relationship with your love one, your family and so on? Do you want to travel all across the world and visit the most exotic places and visit the most isolated island in the world?

No matter what you want in the world today, maybe you should ask yourself this question first before you start your journey to achieving them, “Why Do I Want These Things?” Will it change your life? Why do you want to drive fast, big and luxury car anyway? Isn’t it because it can give you the thrilling feeling and owning a big car simply means you’re rich and you’ve a lot of money? Isn’t it because being rich will give you all the power and respect you want? Isn’t that becoming a millionaire simply shows that you are someone who accomplished a lot in your life and it is the feeling of accomplishment and prestige that you are pursuing?

Why do you want to have a great family life? Is it because you think that it will give you the feeling of intimacy, love, warmth or connection? Why do you want to save the world and make the world a better place? Is it because it can give you the feeling of contribution and making a difference?

In conclusion, what all this really means is that what you want to achieve in your life is the feeling deep inside you. If you want to be rich, why do you want to be rich? Is it because you want others to have the feeling of respect and you want to have the feeling of accomplishment in your life? Therefore, what you are pursuing in your life is feeling.

It is the feeling that deep inside you that drives you into taking massive amount of action to make your dreams come true. And you take so many actions to accomplish what you want in your life is also because you want to satisfy the feeling deep inside you. That means, in order to achieve what you really want in your life, you must first understand the feeling deep in you, what you really want to achieve…?

There are basically only 2 factors that will affect your feeling. They are:

  1. Your physiology, and
  2. Your focus.

By going through the 2 posts above, you will be able to direct your feeling to the right state whenever you want to. Like what I mentioned above, achieving success is about the achievement of the right feeling. You want to lose weight because you want to have the slim feeling, you want people to envy your body, and you want others to praise that you have a great body. All of these are the feelings that you are looking for.

The key here is to shift yourself into an empowering feeling, an empowering state that will keep you going. You don’t want to get distracted or dis-empowered by the negative feelings and state. This is why motivation is so important in your road to success.

I hope you’ll grab the big picture and learn how to shift your state by going through all the posts here. If you want to be successful today, learn how to keep yourself hot so that you will keep on taking massive of action. This is the reason successful people are successful.

How To Focus Yourself Toward Success

Focus To Your SuccessIf you want to succeed in your life, you must learn how to make use of the power of focus. Many people don’t seem to understand how it works. When you are down or when you are feeling depress, you can change your state of depression into an empowering state by simply changing your focus.

So how can you do this? Very simple, ask yourself what are you focusing when you are down.

It is just a magnifying glass, when you put it under the hot sun, it will focus all the energy from the sun ray and burn the paper under it. This is the power of focus. Another great example is laser beam. When focused, it can cut through anything that lies in front of it.

The question now is, how can you make use of this powerful tool to direct your emotion, your state or your feeling?

Focus On The Solution Instead Of Problems

For many people, when something bad happens to them, they will think and focus on the problems. Just like when something bad happens to you, I’m sure most of the time you will think it this way, “God, why is this happening to me?” Or “I’m dead, there is no way I can get over this!” Or “How come I always have to do this? Why this is happening to me?”

If you are thinking it this way, you are focusing on the problems. And if you are focusing on the problems, you will never come up with a solution to solve the problem, right?

So change your focus from now on. Learn to focus on the solution and not the problems. If you focus on the problems, you will create more problems. This is what most people will do in their lives.

Let me give you an example here. If you attend a meeting and some of the attendees are late for the meeting, what will you think? Will you think that they don’t care about the meeting? Or will you think that they are having difficulties in getting to the meeting? Maybe you will think that it is because they are negotiating for a better contract price they are bringing to you?

1. If you focus and think that they do not care about the meeting, what will happen to you after that? For instance, you will feel angry because they did not respect you and the meeting. You will then get mad, you cannot control the situation and you will just scold those who late for the meeting.

2. If you choose to focus and think that they are fighting for a better contract price that they are going to bring you, what will you feel then? Will you feel better because people are working hard for you? Of course you will.

So you see, from the above example, what you choose to focus really affects how you feel and therefore influence your emotional state. That means, if you can focus in something positive or something that can empower you, you will be able to do better because you are motivated and driven. You know the this very well.

This is why I said that what you choose to focus is very important, it can affect your feeling and your state. However, how are you going to change your focus? How can you choose what to focus on? The answer is pretty simple…

Ask Yourself The Right Questions

Just like the example above, if you ask the right question, you will direct your focus to the right place and you will end up good. If you ask the wrong question, you will end up focusing on the problems instead of the solution, you will never get any better from that.

The moment something bad happens to you, such as if your car suddenly break down, you must ask yourself empowering question like “What can I learn from this?” Maybe when you are mad or frustrated, you will give an answer like “Nothing!” But if you think more deeply for a moment and ask yourself this other question, “How can I turn this around and what lessons can I learn from this?”

You will immediately direct your focus into the solution, you are not focusing on the problem anymore. And when you ask the right question, you will receive the right solution from your mind. Like what you have learned in the Law of Attraction, you will get what you ask for.

If you ask for problems, you will get more of it. Your mind cannot differentiate between good or bad, it will only follow your order and give you what you ask for.

Here is a list of problem-solving questions that you can use whenever you are facing problems:

  1. What is great about this problem?
  2. What can I learn from this?
  3. How can I turn this around so that it benefits me?
  4. How can I enjoy the process while taking the necessary action to turn it around?
  5. If Adam Khoo (Your favorite guru in your field, like if you are in investing, it can be Warren Buffett) is facing this problem just like me now, what will he do to turn this around?

Today, you have learned a new skill of how you can motivate yourself by directing your focus. Ask the right question, and you will be able to focus yourself on the right track. I hope you use this skill to achieve much more in your life.
