How To Increase Your Blog’s Readership

Traffic is the dream of every bloggers. And I believe I’ve repeat this phrase over and over again. Traffic is the veins of your blog. Without traffic, your blog is just going to be a site that nobody will visit, and it will become a waste because every of your post has got nobody to read it.

Increase traffic is good, but increase your blog’s readership is also another important task that you will need to do if you want to have more repeated visitors. Some said to attract new visitor is more difficult than making your visitor loyal to you and back for more. It has got some truth in it though. If you notice, the current market trend has been switching slowly to maintaining customer relationship.

So basically how you can increase your readership? Before this I’ve posted about How To Maintain Your Readership. Well you could read about it here. Its an interesting post. Ok, below are some of the guides that you can increase your blog’s readership.

Conduct Contests
Yes, you can conduct a contest using your blog. Its all depends on your creativity. You must think out of the box, and create something interesting. For example, I’ve seen a lot of people create this kind of contest, the author asked their readers to drop quality comments, the more the better. And after some time, the author will award the top commentators with rewards. What kind of rewards? It can be many types, like I said, depends on your creativity. Most of the rewards are link back, a review of your blog. Some even pay for people who did this.

There is basically another type of activity you can host using your blog. It is not contest type, but it will benefit both readers and the blog author. Well, it may seems like this, “I will stumble, fave, digg, and review your blog for only $5. (I got this idea from Lisa, you can take part in this activity too.)” I’ve come across this kind of offer, maybe you’ve come across this kind of offer too. So you see, its all about creativity. Everything happens twice, once in your mind, and in reality. Think out of the box, do things creatively.

Polling Activities
There is a feature in Blogger that allow you to conduct a poll. In fact I never used this feature before. But this definitely can help you increase your blog’s readership. You can have your readers vote for their favourite blogs, websites or anything that is related to your blog’s topic. Besides that, you can also conduct a poll regarding current issues. Capture your visitors by asking them to leave their precious thoughts in your blog. If your poll is about current social issues, better. You can ask visitors to drop their thoughts and help increase the social awareness.

Comments
Well, I’ve talk a little bit about using comments to raise your traffic and maintain readership in How To Maintain Your Readership, actually this method is very easy to understand and implement. The matter is that whether you have the patience or not. You must know the reason why you are letting people comments in your blog. The first reason is of course you want to have an active blog community with you, you want to have people to read and leave their opinions in your blog post. Other reason like letting people to comments on your blog, so you can improve in certain sections of your blog.

You can always return comments by visiting those people who comments in your blog. This is the best way you can increase and maintain your readership. You can even make friends with this method. However, if there are too many comments in your blog, you will having a busy time to reply their comments. Therefore you can always do this when you free, say, after your new post. By the way, don’t forget to change the setting in your blog to allow anyone can leave comment in your blog.

Should You Make Money From Your Blogs?

Now, it seems that almost all of the bloggers out there are trying to make money from their blogs, and of course this includes me myself. However, to some of you maybe you will think that making money from blogging is something unethical or even may sound evil to you. This is because you are trying to make money from something you do for fun, which will be blogging in your niche.

Let me tell you. Once you have quality contents, nice design, useful links, well organized and updated daily blog, and then what? You may think of making some money with your blogs. You may insert some advertisement like Google Adsense provided, or any affiliate links that you are in. Is this sounds unethical or evil?

For me, not at all. Why? This is because money is just a reward from your work, your hard work of building up a great blog. If you are not making money from your blog and if your blog has got thousands visitors a day, then you’re not leveraging with blogging. We need to use all the tools (especially technology) wisely to leverage from our work. If you bring conveniences to people (like vehicles, home appliances), then money is just the by product of your hard work. Look at Ford Motors, what Henry Ford did was invent an inexpensive car that available for everyone, and the reward? He got rich, very rich. This is just an example, there are many more other examples out there.

Lets say if you insert some advertisement in your blog, and your visitors click on those ads, and find the website very informative. This will be another great thing that you bring to your visitors. And there is nothing wrong if your visitors click on your affiliate links and find the products useful and bought them. In fact, if your visitors follow your links and buy a product like in Amazon, there is no extra charge at all. But what you will get is just a small percentage of incentive from Amazon because you lead to the sales, Amazon thank you by doing this and pay you a small percentage.

There is a big different between purposely creating a blog to just to make money from it and making money from doing something you like. Therefore, for me, making money from your blog is not something unethical at all. Some people even quit their jobs and be a full time bloggers, make a living with bloggings. So this shows that how powerful and potential blogs can be. But, making money is making money, your blog content still the most important, focus on your content. Content will be the reason you make money from, and also the reason you’re not making any money from it.

The Power Of Leverage

This is a very famous and indeed a very powerful tool that you cannot miss if you want to be a Millionaire. I still remember reading Rich Dad Poor Dad from Robert Kiyosaki, he briefly explains what leverage means and how leverage can help us become rich. And in one of his book, Retire Young Retire Rich, Robert Kiyosaki even tells us how to use the power of leverage and what benefits you can get from using it.

Well, here is the definition that Robert says about leverage :

“In the broad definition of the world, the word leverage simply means ‘the ability to do more with less‘. When it came to the subject of work, money, and leverage, rich dad would say, ‘if you want to become rich, you need to work less, and earn more. In order to do that, you employ some form of leverage.’ He contrasted that statement by saying, ‘People who only work hard have limited leverage. If you’re working hard physically and not getting ahead financially, then you’re probably someone else’s leverage.’ He also said, ‘If you have money sitting in the bank in your savings account or retirement account, then others are using your money as their leverage.

My rich dad said, ‘People with leverage have dominance over people with less leverage.’ In other words, just as humans gained advantages over animals by creating leveraged tools, similarly, humans who use these tools of leverage have more power over humans that do not. Saying it more simply, ‘leverage is power’.”

So now you understand the word leverage means. And indeed you need to make use of tools to leverage from your work. Plus now with the help of internet and computers, you can achieve many things especially to make more money. As you can see, more and more leveraging tools are being created every single day. Those people who can adapt and use these tools wisely will move one step forward than those who don’t know to benefits from these tools. If you’re not learning to use all these leveraging tools, you will fall back financially or working harder and harder just to keep up.

Here’s some great example so that you can be more clear of how powerful leverage tools can be. When you look back in history, 5,000 years ago, humans utilizing sails and the power of wind to propels their ships across the vast seas. Therefore, humans can carried more loads can cross the seas. Another example is that a bird utilizes its wings as a leverage tools to fly. Humans observed birds in flight, then used their minds to discover how humans could also fly.

Knowledge Is Wealth. For me, wealth is just the financial knowledge that you need in order for you to make a fortune. If you would like to read more about the difference between wealth and money, you can read my post about it here, Let’s Talk About Money.

So why did I said that Knowledge Is Wealth? Look at Google, look at Nike, or eBay, they all worth billions of dollars, they make millions of dollars each year, but they hardly owned any physical assets. Try and add up the total value of their factories, all their physical assets, and you will notice that these values worth less than what they’re worth. In fact, Nike doesn’t even own many factories. So what makes these giant companies worth so much? The wealth of these companies lie in the ideas of people who are working inside. There are still many examples of companies out there.

Your mind is a very powerful intellectual asset that you owned, if you make use of your mind wisely, you can make infinity returns of revenue. Not like in the bank which only make you 4% return of investment, or 20% return in stock. If you want to be a Millionaire, you must invest your time and effort into learning more wealth knowledge, you need to spend time to harness your financial skills. So you see, over 90% of your wealth is not from your wallet or in your bank account, its all the ideas in your mind.

So here’s a good news, since this is the informational age, you can find tons of information from the net. There are lots of websites out there are offering newsletters, e-Books and many other info that exactly you need to make you rich. And the best thing is, almost all of them are free. Therefore, try to subscribe to them and learn more from now. Of course I must said that if you have the knowledge but lack of actions, you won’t get what you want. Knowledge is just one of the key to success, you will still require other ingredients besides knowledge.

Patience Is The Key to Your Blogging Success

Every bloggers out there wish their blogs can generate unlimited traffic everyday, however, this is not always the case. There are lots of bloggers out there make a big mistake, that is many of them give up half way after seeing that their blogs can’t generate enough traffic.

Very often, when you feel excited and start doing something, after awhile, you will find that you’ve lost the motivation to keep you going. Why is this so? This is because you feel that you’ve done a lot, but in the end you got nothing. Everyone can success in their life, no matter what kind of goals they set, if they keep on chasing their goals, they will succeed in the end, it is just a matter of time.

Many people want to lose weight, but they fail to do so, they give up half way. It is also the same if you want to make more money, but give up half way after finding that you make no money at all after a few months. Remember, patience is the key to your success. Many bloggers just blog then wait for traffic and revenue to come. And they end up having few traffic only. The fact is that it takes more than one year to build up a good reader base blog (this is what happened to majority of bloggers).

If you keep on blogging, but find that you still can’t get many traffic, one of the reason may because of your blog is still new. Be patient and do not give up. If you have quality contents, people sure will come to your blog. Another thing is that you must make your goal a must for you. There is a big difference between a ’should’ and a ‘must’.

When something becomes a must for you, you will do anything to achieve it, of course this is within ethical and moral boundaries. So you can ask yourself, is it that your goal is a ‘must’ for you, or is it a ’should’ for you? The level of commitment shown by successful people is truly undeniable. Always take failures and setbacks as the test of commitment given by god.

Most people fail this test by giving up and quit when they face major problems and obstacles. Those who overcome the obstacles, will succeed eventually. Often, money is a big motivator. If you make money in the very beginning, you will keep on going because you are so excited about it. But this is not always the case, it is often very difficult and challenging to make more money in the beginning. And if you can cope with this, I believe you will make a lot of money.

So, don’t give up and keep trying. Because success only meant for people that are committed and serious in achieving their goals. If you cannot take your goals seriously, then you won’t achieve your goals.

Hi, today I’m not going to talk about money, I will blog for charity. Yesterday I received a message in BlogCatalog saying that the community is going to raise public awareness about organ donation and organ donation issues.

Now, this is a the great opportunity for us all to do something for charity. All you need is to post about organ donation. You can find the details and information here. This idea is great, asking every bloggers to blog for charity. It is a great marketing way, and all bloggers can do something for the community.

The Power Of K.I.S.S.

Ok, lets make it simple for today. Its been almost 3 months since I’ve start blogging and learn about being an Internet Marketer. There are plenty of things that I’ve learn from the online world. If not because of blogging and affiliate marketing, I’m still a frog under the well and never thought about making money online. I’m sure 80% of you who reading this post now has got at least a website or a blog, so what I’m going to tell you is about this very simple business tips. It is called the K.I.S.S. concept.

Heard of this before? Know what it stands for? K.I.S.S. means Keep It Simple and Stupid. It is a business concept that you should always keep in your mind when building your business. This is especially true if you have a website or a blog. Always keep your site clean and easy to read. Remember this, it is the content that you want your readers to read, not the widgets from the site bar or anything that will attract your readers away. Of course this will not apply if you purposely want to attract your readers for something else.

This is the fundamental rule for every business out there. Simply the best, heard of this phrase before? I’m sure you do, therefore stick with simple and easy to read site and content. Another thing you need to keep in mind is this, all your content must be write in simple language that even an eight years old child can read and understand. Do not use any jargons that will confuse your readers. Some people like to type with a lot of flashy words that they themselves not sure the meaning of the words. Always keep your site easy to read and clean before your visitors run off.

Thats all for this, it is just some simple tips that you should remember. How To Add Adsense In Your Post (For Blogger User)

Hi, well, in this post I’m going to tell you how to add Adsense ads into the body of your post, just like mine. In order to improve your Adsense CTR and boost your profit, putting your Adsense ads in the middle of your post is a good idea. This is because when people reading your posts, they will read your Adsense ads, and therefore higher CTR. Putting AdsenseDavid, because he asked me how to insert Adsense ads in my blog posts. So here it is, very easy, just follow it step by step.

1. Log in to your Adsense account, and setup a new ads (Adsense for Content of course), then copy the HTML code into Notepad. ads in your posts definately will create more attraction than putting them in your side bars. This post is specially written for

2. Change the HTML code. Don’t worry, we’re not going to change the code, but just some characters to character entities, this is to parse the code so that the Adsense ads can be insert to your blog template, hence it is not violation of TOS. To do this, you have to REPLACE EVERY of these characters :
Of course, you change this code in the Notepad where you’ve copied your Adsense code into. And remember to change them all.

3. Now open your blog, go to Template then Edit HTML (Remember to tick the Expand Widget box). Backup your HTML code, download it or copy it and paste it into a newly open Notepad.

a. If you want your Adsense ads to appear right after the title of your post, copy the Adsense code you have EDITED just now, and paste them right ABOVE this line :
Now if your desire Adsense ads is in small format, then you can choose to make them appear either on the right side or the left side. All you need to do is just add some code to it:The Adsense code is the one that you’ve EDITED. If you want them to appear on the right, just change the word ‘left’ to ‘right’. Then copy them and paste ABOVE this line, just like before :
b. If you want your Adsense ads to appear after your posts, copy the Adsense code you have EDITED just now, and paste them BELOW this line :
4. Don’t save your template first, preview your blog, if everything is fine, and suits your taste then only save your template. Well, these are the few simple steps to insert Adsense ads into your post. If this is the first time you edit your template, it may seems difficult, but you will get use to it after a few testing.

There is one more thing that you need to know. Google only allow maximum of 3 Adsense ads per page. Therefore if you use this method, only 3 of your posts will shown Adsense ads. Even if you have 5 posts on your main page, only the latest 3 posts will show Adsense ads. Hence, if you have extra Adsense ads on your side bars or anywhere, you will have to remove them.

How To Maintain Your Readership

Hi, welcome back to The Millionaire Secrets. From the statistics of my blog, only 1 out of 10 visitors who viewed my blog is not a blogger. Traffic is just visitors who come by to your blog, and most of them will not read about your blog posts. Well, some will read, and we called them readers. Readers are more important than visitors, they come and they read about what you write about. There will be a waste if you keep on writing and got nobody to read. For visitors, most of them come to your blog but aren’t going yo read your content. They will view through your blog, and if your content suits them, then only they will read, if your content not suits them, they will leave in less than 5 seconds. So how can you maintain good relation with your readers? How can you increase the number of your readers? Read on.

Now, if you read this, means that you’re a reader of mine blog, The Millionaire Secrets. Thanks for your precious time spend with me here. So how can we increase and maintain good readership? There are few ways. I will discuss about them below.

Appreciate Your Readers
Well, how can you do this? Simple enough. Look just below my blog, below the header of my main title The Millionaire Secrets. You can find that I have written some words to thanks my visitors who viewed my blog here, and I’m encouraging them to subscribe to my blog articles. No secrets here, just write something to appreciate your readers and visitors who came and thanks them for their time visiting or even reading your blog. Encourage them to subscribe to your blog posts, and you will see the results very soon. I’m sure that if you do this, your subscribe readers will increase, try it and you’ll see the magic.

All you need to do is just add a few phrases of words on your blog, where visitors can read them instantly once they come to your blog. Just like what I do here. Thank your visitors with your heart, without them, your blog will mean nothing. A simple thanks will be the best.

Reply Your Readers Comments
Once you have someone leaving comments in your blog, reply back to their comments. Pay a visit to their blogs, you might get new idea of how to build a more quality blog and post. Read their posts, if possible. You can get new idea of how others write they blog this way. And you will create relationship with your readers who drop comments here. If you do this, chances are, those who drop comments on your blog will come back again. Don’t just simply drop comments on other people’s blog just for the sake of it, drop some good comments and I’m sure that the author of the blog will appreciate it.

Using Widget
By the way, you can also track your visitors by using widgets provided like BlogCatalog and MyBlogLog. You can saw who visited your blog before and visit back their blogs, try to drop some comments in teir blog. This way, you can increase readers to your blog. However, this is not the best way because if you have huge traffic to your blog everyday, then you will be busy visiting other people’s blogs. You can also develop good readership with this method. Try to use these widgets wisely. Think out of the box.
